How many seasons of Heartland are available on Netflix? Read on to find out

Heartland

Heartland stands to be the longest-running horse series ever, which premiered back in 2007 and in 2022 is still going on. This wholesome family-friendly Canadian drama is a multi-generational saga set in Alberta. Centered around a family getting through the tough and happy times, the show is based on a book series of the same name written by Lauren Brooke.

If you haven’t seen it yet or if you only managed to watch a few seasons of it, you must be wondering where you can watch it now.

Here’s all the information on where to stream Heartland.

How many seasons of Heartland are available on Netflix?

A long-running series like this one often has a lot of options of channels to watch it on. But this might also mean that you don’t find all the seasons or episodes on a single platform, and Netflix usually becomes our good bet for finding a majority of them in one place.

Well, all the Netflixers around the globe saw the sudden removal of Heartland Seasons 1-6 from Netflix. Seasons 1-6 have been removed from many regions including Australia and the United Kingdom, whereas Netflix Canada and the Netflix United States are unaffected by the removal and are still enjoying these seasons.

Currently, Heartland Season 1 to 13 are available on Netflix US with Heartland Season 14 expected to drop in anytime this year.

Heartland Seasons 1-6 are removed from Netflix in the following regions:

  1. United Kingdom
  2. Australia
  3. Turkey
  4. France
  5. Israel
  6. Greece
  7. South Africa
  8. Asian countries (India, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Philippines)

In Australia, the first 6 seasons are now available on Prime Video whereas in the United Kingdom they are on-air on ‘Up Faith and Family’ Channel, which is now a Prime channel in various regions of the world.

Earlier in 2019, Heartland’s Seasons 1-3 were removed from the Netflix United States and were added back a few weeks later.

The situation may be frustrating and inconvenient for the viewers and we, therefore, hope that the seasons would soon be back on Netflix, although any possibility of such a thing is still unknown and seems like a distant dream.

Heartland Cast and Locations

Heartland

The main Heartland cast includes Amber Marshal as Amy Fleming, Michelle Morgan as Lou Fleming, Shaun Johnston as Jack Bartlett, Alisha Newton as Georgina Fleming, Chris Potter as Tim Fleming, and Jessica Steen as Lisa Stillman and most of its shooting has been done around High River, Atlanta.

For the unversed, Heartland has helped the city of Alberta in many ways. It has contributed to Alberta being a desirable shooting place and also helped the city in adding $200 million to its economy. The city that earlier could not compete with regions like Vancouver and Toronto because of its lacking of funding structure and tax credits was given an increased grant of $11 million by the government in 2015, all thanks to Heartland.

Another interesting fact about Heartland is that with its 139th episode that aired on March 29, 2015, the show surpassed Street Legal as the longest-running one-hour scripted drama in Canadian television history. Canada’s longest-running one-hour scripted drama, with its 14 seasons out and Season 15 to be out in March 2022 and Season 16 already confirmed to be out somewhere in fall 2022, has its streaming rights spread all over the place.

The show is also the winner of 5 Directors Guild of Canada Awards for the best family television series.
