The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey is executive produced by and stars the Oscar-nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson. The Apple TV+ drama is based on best-selling novelist Walter Mosley’s acclaimed novel, which he has adapted for the screen. He is also the executive producer of the film.

Samuel L. Jackson plays Ptolemy Grey, an elderly man who is forgotten by his family, friends, and even himself in The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey. Ptolemy is assigned to the care of orphaned girl Robyn after he is suddenly abandoned without his trusted caretaker and is on the verge of sliding even further into lonely dementia. When they learn about a medication that can help Ptolemy’s dementia-affected memories return, it sets in motion a chain of events that leads to shocking revelations about the past, present, and future.
The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey Release Date
The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey is a six-episode drama that will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on March 11, 2022.
The first two episodes will be released on that day, followed by weekly episodes every Friday for the remainder of the series.

Samuel L. Jackson will be seen playing Ptolemy Grey. He rose to prominence in Hollywood thanks to roles in films such as Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, and Django Unchained.
Dominique Fishback will be portraying Robyn. She is best known for her TV roles as Billie Rowan in Show Me A Hero and Darlene in The Deuce, before starring in Judas and the Black Messiah last year.
Other stars in The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey include Cynthia Kaye McWilliams – best known for her performances on the television series Real Husbands of Hollywood, Prison Break, and Nashville, and Damon Gupton is an American actor and orchestral conductor, best known for his series regular roles as Charles Foster on Deadline, Evrard Valerio on Prime Suspect, Adam Page on The Divide, Detective Cal Brown on The Player, Deputy Chief Henderson on Black Lightning, and SSA Stephen Walker on Criminal Minds.
Marsha Stephanie Blake, a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Nominee, will also be seen in the miniseries along with Walton Goggins – he was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work on Justified.
