The Wilds tells the dystopian story of a group of teenage girls who are referred to as the ‘Dawn of Eve’ after they are left stranded on an island following a plane crash. Fans have been waiting over a year to find out if and how the group of girls will escape the island since the first season was released at the end of 2020. The Wilds is created and executive produced by Sarah Streicher alongside showrunner Amy Harris, the late Jamie Tarses, Dylan Clark, and Brian Williams.

Amazon Prime Video announced the official release date of The Wilds Season 2 on Instagram. The YA show is set to premiere on Friday, May 6, 2022. The announcement of the season came on December 19, 2020, with videos from the cast members from the set, teasing “should we tell them? I don’t know if they’re ready… Haven’t you heard the news? I think we should tell them. You sure? Together? Ok… Three, two, one… We’re headed back for Season Two.

The Wilds Season 2 Plot: What can we expect?
In Season 1 of The Wilds, the group of teen girls were trying to survive after being stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash. Season one’s big reveal was that they weren’t there by coincidence or accident, but they were being watched, observed, studied, and were in a surveillance area. The “Dawn of Eve” girls—as they were called by some sketchy scientists—are in fact a part of a bizarre social experiment headed by former university professor Gretchen Klein.
The finale ended with the biggest shock when Leah found a file on the desk titled “The Twilight of Adam”.. Meaning, the same kind of experiment is repeated somewhere with a group of Boys. The upcoming season is expected to explore the boys’ side of the experiment. But thankfully, the creators have promised that this doesn’t mean they are leaving the girls’ storyline. The Wilds will continue to follow the Dawn of Eve girls and will most certainly answer your questions from season one.

Season two of The Wilds will continue to follow the harrowing ordeal of a group of teenage girls stranded on a deserted island, and they didn’t end up there by accident—they’ve secretly been recruited into an elaborate social experiment. The new season ratchets up the drama by revealing that the girls aren’t the only ones being studied… there’s a new set of subjects, an island of teenage boys, who must also fight for survival under the watchful eye of the experiment’s puppet master.

The Wilds Season 2 Cast
The group of girls are all expected to return in season two. Among them are Sarah Pidgeon (Leah), Sophia Ali (Fatin), Jenna Clause (Martha), Reign Edwards (Rachel), Mia Healey (Shelby), Shannon Berry (Dot), Helena Howard (Nora) and Erana James (Toni).
Season 2 will feature some new cast members as the new boys of The Twilight of Adam. Deadline confirmed on May 13, 2021, that there would be a whole new group of cast members. Zack Calderon, Aidan Laprete, Nicholas Coombe, Charles Alexander, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Reed Shannon, Tanner Ray Rook, and Alex Fitzalan will be joining.

- Rafael Garcia, a quiet, sensitive teenager who gravitates toward people with stronger, more charismatic personalities than his own.
- Henry Tanaka, a reclusive type who prefers to retreat into the safety of his noise-canceling headphones and dwell on the darkness in the world.
- Josh Herbert, a talkative, awkward and nervous teenager from a wealthy family in San Diego
- Kirin O’Conner, a short-tempered lacrosse player who doesn’t have much patience for weakness
- Ivan Taylor, an activist and aspiring playwright with an impeccable fashion sense and a razor-sharp wit.
- Scotty Simms, a fast-talking teenage entrepreneur
- Scotty’s best friend Bo Leonard, a soft-spoken, contemplative teenager from Florida.
- Seth Novak, who is funny, smart and full of charisma
