Fate: The Winx Saga Season 1 opened a world of magic, mystical fairies, and monsters almost a year ago.
The young adult supernatural drama series based on the wildly popular Italian/American animated series Winx Club franchise debuted on Netflix last year on January 22, 2021. The show, created by Ignio Straffi, who is also the executive producer of the original Winx Club, was an instant hit among the fans. Fate: The Winx Saga follows a young fire fairy, Bloom, and her friends as she enrolls in Alfea, a Hogwarts style school set in the Otherworld, a magical dimension parallel to Earth. The Alfea College abruptly closed its doors after season one, and fans of the Winx world have been requesting a season two of the Netflix series for quite some time.

Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 Cast: Are there any new cast members? Who will return for Season 2?
All of the series regulars are confirmed to return for the second season of Fate: The Winx Saga. Abigail Cowen will return as Bloom, a young but extremely powerful fire fairy. Hannah van der Westhuysen will return as Stella, a senior fairy with the ability to control light; Precious Mustapha will be back as Aisha, Bloom’s roommate and water fairy, Eliot Salt will return as Terra, an earth fairy; and Elisha Applebaum is returning as Musa, a mind fairy or empath who can read and interpret people’s emotions. Alfea faculty members Saul Silva (Robert James-Collier) and Professor Harvey (Alex Macqueen) are also expected to return.
Eve Best may not return as the former headmistress Farah Dowling, because her character was killed off in the finale of season one, but the one who killed her, longtime rival Rosalind, played by Lesley Sharp, may return for season 2.
The newest additions to the cast of Fate: The Winx Saga are Brandon Grace and Normal People star Éanna Hardwicke in the roles of Grey and Sebastian, respectively.
Fate: The Winx Saga Plot: What can we expect?
Season one, with only six episodes, was just a mere introduction to the world of Winx. Most of season 1 was spent setting up the backstory for Bloom, her friends, and the world around them. The six main types of fairy magic explained are water, fire, air, earth, light, and mind. Bloom began to discover more about her past when she arrived at Alfea, a mystical school for fairies in the Otherworld. She discovered long-buried mysteries about Alfea as she explored the Otherworld and learned to control her fire magic.
As showrunner and executive producer, Brian Young said, Fate: The Winx Saga is just getting started. “The six episodes in season 1 only scratched the surface of this incredibly rich world and the powerful fairies who inhabit it,” Young said in a statement announcing the show’s renewal.
We haven’t got any proper answers about the events in Aster Dell. Maybe season 2 will reveal the true history of the Aster Dell events. Rosalind is another mystery, Headmistress Dowling was killed in the final moments of the finale, with Rosalind taking back her power at Alfea. So, what is her endgame?
