My Unorthodox Life Season 2 Plot: What is it about?
Julia Haart had a loving husband, a thriving career, and children Batsheva, Shlomo, Miriam, and Aron, whom she shares with ex-husband Yosef Handler while navigating the unorthodox Jewish community in Monsey, New York, in Season 1 of My Unorthodox Life. She is still a proud Jewish woman but living a very secular life.
Shortly after the renewal news was announced, the fashion executive was featured as a guest and talked about the show’s premise on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. “There [are] so many women who’ve been told they’re less than, that they have to wait their turn, that they have to be polite and I thought, ‘Here’s a story about a crazy woman who picked herself up at 43 and changed everything about her life.’ I hope that it gives inspiration and courage to others to do the same.”

In the wake of the recent drama between Haart and her two years of husband, Silvio Scaglia, and their split, viewers are looking forward to season two. According to reports, Haart sought a restraining order from estranged husband Silvio following her firing from Elite World Group, the fashion company where she became co-CEO in 2019. Their relationship was documented in the first season of My Unorthodox Life. Haart’s daughter Batsheva and Ben Weinstein also ended their relationship after nine years of marriage together in 2021.
According to Netflix’s press release, Season 2 will “feature more fashion, family, female empowerment, faith, fabulousness, and of course, Haart.”
