On February 28, 2022, BLACKPINK member Jisoo was spotted at the Incheon Airport on her way to Paris for the Dior event.
Jisoo has been working with Dior since 2019 as a local ambassador. But due to her talent and popularity, she moved up ranks quickly and was soon named the Dior Muse. Last year, Jisoo attended the Dior SS22 Show, at the Paris Fashion Week, making it her first-ever Dior show where she could be present in person. This will be her first activity since her Disney+ drama, Snowdrop ended in January 2022.
On Monday, she left for her second Dior show and was seen and flooded by media and fans at the Incheon Airport. Jisoo was dressed in jeans and a sweater combo along with a pair of mules, looking extremely fashionable yet comfortable if that ain’t the perfect global ambassador.
But, it wasn’t her outfit that caused quite a stir. It was the singer’s new hairstyle that made fans go crazy. Jisoo stunned everyone with her straight hair, tips bleached bright blonde that naturally blend with her brown hair. It took seconds for fans from all around the world to gather over social media to praise her new hairdo. Fans commented “Ahhh so pretty goddess Jisoo”, “I hope she makes a comeback with this hairstyle”. “Jisoo-ya you look so pretty!!!” and “I love her blonde hair”.
After landing in Paris, Jisoo exited the airport via a VIP gate, but seeing her fans wait for her at the main gate, she couldn’t help but come out of her car to wave them hi once. She also took to her Instagram to express her happiness to be able to see her fans after long. She uploaded a story of her holding a bouquet and wrote, “So happy to see my beautiful blinks! I missed you guys. Sorry to everyone who I couldn’t see and I hope to see you tomorrow!”
Jisoo gaining compliments for her new hair isn’t the only good news today. She also became the second most followed Korean female celebrity on Instagram since she opened her account in 2018, with 57.2 Million followers. Overall she’s the third most followed Korean celebrity, the first being her fellow member Jennie with 63.6 Million and second BTS at 60.3 Million followers. Jisoo is also the most followed Korean actress on Instagram.
Jisoo made her debut as a singer as a BLACKPINK member in 2016 under YG Entertainment and was instantly known for her breathtaking visuals. She is the oldest member of the group, and according to fans also the unofficial leader who takes care of her members like a sister. Jisoo was a known face to a lot of fans prior to her musical debut, as she had featured in music videos of fellow labelmates, Epik High, and also debuted as an actor in 2015 with a minor role in The Producers. It was in 2021, she bagged her first lead role in the drama Snowdrop.
BLACKPINK member ROSÉ was supposed to accompany Jisoo on her way to France, as ROSÉ is Yves Saint Laurent’s global ambassador, but unfortunately, she had to halt all her activities due to testing positive for COVID-19.
