Seeing the current scenarios we cannot deny how the concept of war has been brewing slowly within our species. A major reason for these wars in the history of the world has been the kings trying to invade other countries and move towards creating a larger empire. But the kind of wars that cannot be ignored in front of these wars is the intra-state, the war between people of the same country i.e, the civil wars.
To date, there have been many civil wars, and only two of them – The American and the Spanish Civil war are the most notable ones.

1. Dances With Wolves (1990)
The American epic western film directed and produced by Kevin Costner is a story adapted from Michael Blake’s similarly titled book. Costner in the movie plays the role of a Union soldier who during the American Civil War who comes in contact with the Sioux tribe of native Americans while helping in the reconstruction of a fort. The movie received about 12 nominations at the Academy Awards and even ended up bagging seven of them.
2. The Siege of Jadotville
This great action movie directed by Richie Smyth is based on a true story. Set in 1961 the film begins with the execution of Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba of Congo and the outbreak of a civil war. Released in 2016 the movie has a great emotional touch as well as some stunning visuals. This movie that won three Irish Film and Television awards is something you should not dare to miss if you are looking for a thriller and action-packed movie.
3. Beasts of No Nation (2015)
The movie adapted from a book of the same name is a story about one of the most tragic casualties—a child soldier of the rebel army of a nation well into a civil war. The lead roles in the movie were played by Abraham Attah and Idris Elba. Written and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, the movie earned a lot of praise from the critics and audience.
4. First They Killed My Father (2017)
The movie based on a true story written by Loung Ung is directed by Anjelina Jolie. The movie stands to be a moving tale of a family being caught in the crossfire during the Cambodian Civil War, the Cambodia Campaign, and the Vietnamese-Cambodian War, captured by the rebels and made to work in labor camps with almost little to no food. The movie unwraps how the children of the family survived the war. The movie was quite adored by the critics.
5. ‘76 (2016)
Directed by Izu Ojukwu, this Nigerian historic fiction drama is set in 1976. Set 6 years after the end of the Nigerian Civil War, the movie is about a young soldier who is accused of being responsible for conspiring against the military and planning a coup. The cast of the movie includes Ramsey Nouah as Captain Joseph Dewa, Chidi Mokeme as Major Gomos, Rita Dominic as Suzie, Ibinabo Fiberesima as Angela, Daniel K. Daniel as CPL Obi, etc.
