Daredevil, The Punisher, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and more Marvel shows shifting from Netflix to Disney+

Daredevil The Punisher Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and More Marvel Netflix Shows Coming to Disney in the US

All the Marvel Cinematic Universe shows like Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Defender and The Punisher etc. had been launched before Disney+ came into the picture and were meant to release on Netflix but the rights reverted to Disney being the parent company as declared on February 28, 2022.

The few shows that were rolled out in Netflix from 2015 to 2019 will be available on Disney+ in countries like Canada, Australia, the UK and New Zealand. All of these, including the other countries which already have Disney+ subscribers and viewers like India, Korea etc., will be available later this year.

It is announced that from March 16, 2022, all seven seasons of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. aired on Disney from 2013 to 2020. Even though it’s unclear if the rest of the seasons and episodes will be aired on Disney+ especially when the company refused to comment on the future plans of screening seasons of these shows. Another comment made by the streamers on airing these Marvel shows moving to Disney+ stated that “it made the most logical sense to best serve the marvel fans” and that later this year all the marvel series will be available across all the Disney +  markets.

Iron Fist

The final list of the fan favorite series will include Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher, and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. All of these shows are part of the Television catalog in one place for the first time ever.

Now keeping in mind the darker adult content of these series which includes more violence compared to the other family-friendly movies and shows offered by Marvel, the streamer has exclusively taken a decision stating a compulsory implementation of parental controls. This was started due to a notice request by a lot of parents in the USA regarding updating their parental controls.

This includes the options to select content rating restrictions for each profile  and also add a PIN to lock profiles. Subscribers can also enable a Kid-Proof Exit feature to ensure viewers cannot leave their Kids Profile without completing an exciting challenge. Those viewers that choose to keep their settings the same will enjoy Disney+ as they always have with the option to make changes at any time under Profile settings.

A final statement from the streamer was, “As Disney+ continues to grow and evolve, we remain responsive to changes on the platform to ensure we retain the trust of our consumers and uphold our reputation by offering them not only great content but at the same time a set of features that help ensure a viewing experience most suitable for them and their family”.
