The Innocents Trailer

The Innocents - Official Trailer | HD | IFC Midnight

The trailer has a very eerie environment to itself. Though nothing of such sort is present in the trailer initially, there’s always the feeling of something supernatural or creepy being present. The trailers puts s spotlight on how young kids try to explore their own super powers which there is no one to guide them through it just like Professor Dumbledore in the Harry Potter franchise or  Professor Charles Xavier like in the Marvel Universe.

The Innocents Plot

The Innocents taps into the possibilities of what all could happen when a child has some magical prowess to them and no one to keep that power in check and things become bound to go topsy-turvy. The film follows siblings Ida and Anna who moved to a new apartment with their parents during a summer in Norway. There Ida meets Ben who seemed rather mysterious and has a power to move things with just his mind. She befriends kind Aisha as well who can hear the thoughts of people around and the only person able to talk to Anna as Anna is autistic which restricts her ability to communicate.

Now what’s to see is for what and how these young kids will use their superpowers especially in situation when no one is there to help them control it, and parents who are next to negligible in their efforts to help the kids adapt to the gifts they have and help them differentiate between right and wrong.
