K-pop comebacks you should be looking forward to in March

The K-pop industry right now is over-saturated with groups and idols, and no we ain’t complaining. But keeping up with all the comeback dates can be a little too much to handle, especially if you are a multi-stan. From (G)I-DLE announcing their first comeback as 5 members to Stray Kids unveiling their movie-like trailers for their upcoming album release, March is all packed up.

We are likely to witness some fierce music show competition, with fan-favorite SM Entertainment groups, Red Velvet and NCT Dream both having a comeback this month. Viral queens Brave Girls and second generation legend Sunmi also seem to plan to drop some new music soon.

Here’s a full list of K-pop artists who are all set to have a comeback in March.

1. Weeekly

Weeekly, the girl group known for their smash hit song After School, will release their first single album Play Game: AWAKE on March 7, 2022, at 6 pm KST. The mini-album is set to have three songs – Ven para (title track), Solar and Where Is My Love?

On March 3, the group released the music video trailer for the title track of the album and a highlight medley, in which we can hear snippets from all three 3 songs of the album.

2. Kim Woo Seok

Kim Woo Seok is all set to return with his third mini-album, 3RD DESIRE [Reve]

Set to release on March 7, 2022, at 6 pm KST, the album contains a total of 6 tracks – Ghostin, Switch (title track), What More Can I Do?, Shame, When Spring Comes Softly, and Satisfied. Kim has participated in the composition of all 6 songs.

3. Sunmi

Sunmi will release a new single, Oh Sorry Ya, as part of Spotify Singles. Spotify introduced a new series of original artist recordings dubbed Spotify Singles in 2016, which the streaming platform refreshes weekly. On March 8, 2022, at 2 pm KST,  Sunmi will release Oh Sorry Ya program.

4. TAN 

TAN is a little different idol group in this list, as the boy group won’t be having a comeback this month but rather make their debut.

TAN, short form for To All Nations, is a seven-member project boy group created through the MBC survival show Extreme Debut: Wild Idol. The group is signed under Think Entertainment and consists of Lee Changsun, Im Jooan, Lee Jaejun, Seo Sunghyuk, Kim Hyunyeop, Bang Taehoon, and Kim Jiseong. 

TAN is all set to debut with their first mini-album 1TAN  on March 10, 2022.

5. (G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE is prepared to release their first full album I Never Die. This will be the group’s first comeback in over a year and as 5 members since Soojin’s departure in August 2021. 

The album consists of 9 songs – the lead single TOMBOY, and b-sides Don’t Stop Me, Villian Dies, Already, Polaroid, Escape, Liar, My Bag, and a CD-only version of the title track. 

The album along with the music video of the title track TOMBOY will be released on March 16, 2022.

6. Moonbin & Sanha – Astro

Astro’s first subunit, which includes Moonbin and Sanha, will return with their second mini-album, Refuge, which will be released on March 15 at 6 pm KST  and features five songs, including the lead single Who. The pre-released single Ghost Town, which was released in January 2022, will also be included on the album.

7. Kihyun

Just like the boy group TAN, we have another artist debuting, but he’s already a veteran in the industry. Monsta X’s main vocalist Kihyun is finally making his solo debut. Kihyun’s debut album, Voyager, will be released on March 15 at 6 pm KST and will include three tracks, including the lead single, Voyager.

8. Solar

Mamamoo’s leader Solar will make her comeback on March 16, 2022, at 6 pm KST with an emotional self-reflective mini-album titled 容 : FACE, which is roughly translated to Yong : FACE, Solar’s Korean name. Her upcoming album will be her first in a year and 11 months since she made her debut in April 2020 with Spit It Out.

9. Kingdom

Kingdom, a rookie boy band, under GF Entertainment. The group consists of Dann, Arthur, Mujin, Louis, Ivan, Jahan, and Chiwoo. Each member represents a different king in history. They debuted on February 18, 2021.

The group has announced the release of their fourth mini-album, History of Kingdom: Part IV. Dann, on March 17, 2022. The mini-album will be the fourth in the group’s History of Kingdom series, following the release of History of Kingdom: Part IV. Ivan in October 2021.

10. Stray Kids

With the extravagant trailers and track unveiling, Stray Kids seem to be working on a thunderous comeback. Set to make a comeback on March 18, 2022, with their eighth Korean mini-album Oddinary, this will be their first formal comeback since the release of Noeasy in August 2021.

Aside from the mentioned groups, SM Entertainment stated that Red Velvet would release a mini-album in March. Not only that, but NCT Dream, a subunit of NCT, has also scheduled a March return, but nothing else has been revealed yet. TVXQ is also set to make a Japanese comeback. Three more girl groups, Oh My Girl, Brave Girls, and TWICE, have announced their comebacks in March, while fans struggle to pick a favorite. TWICE, who is presently on tour in the United States, will make a Japanese comeback with their 4th Best Album #TWICE4.
