Enemies to lovers have to be the most celebrated trope in the romantic-comedy genre anywhere, but especially in K-dramas. Almost every K-drama lover started their journey in this path with a drama that deals with this trope, classics like Secret Garden, Full House, and My Love From Star to name a few.
If you enjoyed dramas like So I Married An Anti-Fan, Her Private Life, and Imitation where the two main leads start off with hating and bickering with each other because of one’s foul personality. But after knowing each other better they end up falling in love, added with massive character development, then tvN’s upcoming drama, Shooting Stars.
Shooting Stars is an upcoming romantic-comedy series depicting the story of people who work behind the scenes in the entertainment industry, such as public relations teams, managers, reporters, and the ones who clean up after the stars.
Shooting Stars Plot
Shooting Stars follows Oh Han Byul, the head of an entertainment agency’s public relations department, and the perfect top star Gong Tae Sung, who is also her natural rival. They constantly argue, yet they soon develop affection for each other.
Shooting Stars Release Date
Shooting Stars is scheduled for release on tvN on April 22, 2022. It will also be available for streaming on iQiYi. The drama will have 16 episodes, with the last episode being aired on June 11, 2022.
On March 3, 2022, tvN released a video of the first script reading of the drama. The reading was held with director Lee Soo Hyun and writer Choi Young Woo, as well as the cast, Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Dae, Yoon Jong Hoon, Kim Yun Hye, Park So Jin, It, was held in the presence of major cast members including CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin.

Shooting Stars Cast
The Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo star Lee Sung Kyung will be playing the leading lady in Shooting Stars. Her character, Oh Han Byeol is the PR team leader of a management company. She has excellent skills in speech and crisis management.
Lee Sung Kyung is a South Korean model, actress, and singer. She acted in the television dramas Cheese in the Trap and The Doctors (2016) before taking her first leading role in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.
Kim Young Dae, popular for his role in Penthouse and Extraordinary You will be starring opposite Lee Sung Kyung as the main lead, Gong Tae Sung.
Gong Tae Sung is a top actor at a management agency where Oh Han Byeol works. People admire him because he portrays himself as a kind and courteous person. But he behind the cameras has a different side. He has a hot temper and a strong will to win.
Kim’s Penthouse co-stars Yoon Jong Hoon and Ha Do Kwon will also be seen in the drama.
Hoon will be playing Kang Yoon Seong, a manager at the agency often mistaken as a celebrity because of his good looks and manners.
Kwon will play Choi Ji Hoon, the Director of Force Entertainment.
Kim Yoon Hye will play Park Ho Young, a former taekwondo player turned celebrity manager.
Boy band CNBLUE member Lee Jung Shin, will be seen playing the role of a corporate lawyer and Star Force Entertainment consultant named Do Soo Hyuk.
Singer Park So Jin will also be seen playing Jo Ki Bum, Oh Han Byeol’s close friend and entertainment reporter.
