Apollo 10 1/2 Trailer

The trailer takes us back to the decade of 1960s, especially the late years of the decade when there was a lot of excitement around the Apollo 11 moon landing. The environment, the fashion fads, the soda dispensers, black and white TVs, thought processes, people’s opinions, and everything of the 60s have been portrayed with much realism as possible. The country had diverse opinions regarding the changing trends of lifestyle, however, was still united on the fronts of space exploration programs.

The trailer gives a quick gist of how a dimension mistake of NASA led to a young boy, Stanley to end up in space, not without his consent to be clear. While every other person of his age is out enjoying the sun and soda, Stan isn’t taking any time off his space training which is vigorous and super tiring at the same time. The animation is very much similar to how live-action is including the facial expressions, and the body language of the characters.

Apollo 10 1/2 Plot

NASA ended up creating a space exploration craft that was too small for an adult astronaut to fit in properly and take a trip to space. However, discarding the equipment would mean a loss of multimillions or maybe billions of dollars. So, they took an easy way out or maybe not that easy. They decided to send a child to space instead of an adult and chose Stanley for the mission, taking into account his academic as well as extra-curricular records at school and outside. Another major point of the mission is that it is covert, which means Stanley can’t tell anything about it to anyone including his immediate family.
