Never Have I Ever Season 4 Release Date

The announcement came just for the renewal and no official release date has been revealed yet. However, what we know is that Netflix retweeted the post and added that Never Have I Ever Season 4, will premiere in 2023. So, that’s for sure our 2023 watchlist is sorted already with one of the most fan-favorite show making its appearance with a brand new season. However, that may disappoint some die-hard fans too as Never Have I Ever Season 4 will officially mark the end of the series.

What is Never Have I Ever About?

Never Have I Ever is a coming-of-age comedy, that follows the life of an Indian-American high school student, Devi, played by the talented Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. Devi is a top student who really doesn’t have a life outside studies, and her two best friends, Eleanor (Ramona Young) and Fabiola (Lee Rodriguez). But this sophomore year she has decided to become one of the “cool” kids. In order to do so, she figures out that she needs to get a boyfriend or simply a guy to whom she can lose her “V- card”. This leads her to approach the school’s popular playboy, Paxton (Darren Barnet).

The first season of the show performed well on the streaming platform, with 40 million households tuning in during the first four weeks.

Ramakrishnan told Deadline in 2020 that Never Have I Ever has helped break stereotypes but that there’s plenty of work left to do. “Devi is only one story,” she said. “Hopefully as much as this show inspires other minorities around the world, it will also inspire directors, producers, creators, writers to start bringing that natural inclusion into their shows.”

Never Have I Ever Season 2 Recap

Never Have I Ever Season 2, released in July 2021, primarily focused on Devi’s boy troubles and rivalry with the new Indian student.

In the last season of the show we see, Devi has not one but two boyfriends – Paxton and her long-time frenemy-turned lover, Ben (Jaren Lewison). But, she eventually ended up losing both of them.

Devi was able to restore her connection with Paxton, right before the school’s winter dance, which finally led to them dating again. Ben on the other hand had started dating the new Indian girl in school, Aneesa. But seeing Devi and Paxton together made him visibly upset.

In Season 3 we expect the show to start off from where it left – Will Ben end his relationship with Aneesa and pursue Devi? Will Paxton and Devi last?

In an interview with EW, creator Mindy Kaling may have hinted at what the future holds for Devi and Paxton. “I’ve watched enough romantic comedies that it’s not interesting unless it’s constantly shifting and changing. Having the lead character be happy in love is not super interesting to me. It’s more suspenseful when we don’t know,” she said.
