2022 awaits one such action thriller on the streaming giant, Netflix. Yaksha: Ruthless Operations is an upcoming spy action film directed by Na Hyeon. From the GOT7 all-rounder to the Squid Game star the movie has a star-studded cast and an exciting story.

Yaksha: Ruthless Operations Plot

Kang Inn, also known as Yaksha, is the head of the National Intelligence Service’s Shenyang branch and leads the special Black Ops unit. The team finds itself under the scrutiny of the headquarters after a prosecutor, Han Ji-hoon, joins them. 

When the two team members clash, many begin to doubt the abilities of the team. In the Shenyang region, they wind up meddling with a lot of spies and start connecting the dots since Ji-hoon joined the unit and question his presence.

Yaksha: Ruthless Operations is set to release on April 8, 2022, worldwide on Netflix.

Yaksha: Ruthless Operations Cast

Sol Kyung Gyu will be playing the role of the leader, Yaksha. Sol is best known for work in films like the Public Enemy film series, Peppermint Candy, Oasis, and The Merciless.

Prosecutor Ji-hoon will be played by the Squid Game star, Park Hae-soo. He is also known for his role in the critically acclaimed Prison Playbook (2017) and the 2019 movie By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture.

The multi-talented Yong Dong-geun will be playing the role of Chief Hong.

Lee El will play the role of a veteran senior agent, Hee-won. Lee is famous for her supporting roles in  Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016), A Korean Odyssey (2017-2018), and Black.

Actor-model, Song Jae-rim will be seen as Jae-gyu. Song began his career as a runway model has appeared in popular magazines including  Bazaar Korea, GQ Korea, Esquire Korea, and Marie Claire Korea. He debuted as an actor in 2009 and has worked in series like  Moon Embracing the Sun (2012), and Two Weeks (2013).

Boy band GOT7 member, Jinyoung will also be appearing in the movie as Jeong-dae. Jinyoung made his acting debut in the 2011 hit teen drama, Dream High 2. Since then he appeared in several minor roles in various dramas and landed his first leading role in the 2019 thriller He Is Psychometric.

Actress Lee Soo-kyung will be seen as Mun Ju-yeon and Jin Kyung as Yeom Jeong-won. Ahn Jeong-ho, Ha Jung-min, and Japanese actor Hiroyuki Ikeuchi will also be appearing in the movie.
