The Handmaid’s Tale season 6: What can be expected to be the plot?
The Handmaid’s Tale is a Hulu Original with relevant themes like tyranny, feminism, revolt, and mutiny. The series is set in the not so far future, portraying June Osborne played by Elizabeth Moss, struggling to live under Gilead’s, which was previously known as North America, rough rule. Set in a world with rising environmental pollution and STDs and related problems like decreasing rate of fertility at a high pace, an extremist group who refer to themselves as the Sons of Jacob has been spreading their new rules of the world like a toxin across the suffering country.
June is a Handmaid in the series and we first see her while she is living in the mansion of Commander Fred Waterford who is played by Joseph Fiennes and the wife of Commander Serena who is played by Yvonne Strahovski. Among other things that June and Gilead had to do as a handmaid, there was a monthly ceremony that had to be performed, in which June and her Commander Fred Waterford have sex to conceive a child for the Commander and his wife.
