Selling Sunset Season 7: What to expect from the new season?
The series is expected to continue and explore the theme with at least 11 new episodes, which follows: “A new era is upon the Los Angeles-based Oppenheim Group, as the team bounces back from The Breakup and gets back to the business of selling luxury real estate. The stakes and stilettos are as high as they’ve ever been at the brokerage, as longtime agents make big changes and two new team members bring the heat.”
As highlighted by Netflix Tudum, following one of the top real estate agencies in the Hollywood Hills and Sunset Strip, the series showcases some of LA’s most luxurious homes — as well as The O Group agents’ through-the-roof drama. There have already been many new developments within the brokerage, from a cast shake-up to a public relationship reveal.
If you tuned into streaming the sixth season then you’ll know that there was a huge drama between new agent Nicole Young and Chrishell Stause which became a major center point of attention and it is expected to unravel in the next season. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Stause stated, “It’s an old playbook. I’ve seen it before. I’ve dealt with it before. You’re coming at me, that didn’t work, and now all of a sudden you’re the victim that’s going to act like you’re getting bullied.”
On the other hand, the cast members from the last season who are expected to return are as follows: Heather El Moussa, Mary Fitzgerald, Brett Oppenheim, Jason Oppenheim, Chrishell Stause, Amanza Smith, Emma Hernan, Chelsea Lazkani, Heather Rae El Moussa, and Romain Bonnet. Moreover, two new agents, Bre Tiesi and Nicole Young, who joined the series by replacing Vander, Quinn, and Villela can also reprise their roles in the next season.
As of writing this, it’s unclear whether Heather Rae El Moussa will sign the contract for season 7. As she said in the interview, quote, “And so far, I’ve not been called back.” As for she feels about not getting the call just yet? Further adding, “It’s been a little frustrating,” she said. “So, not sure what’s been going on.” We’ll just have to wait and see if she will ultimately be a part or not.
That’s not all! Recently it has been reported that Maya Vander is also unlikely to return after telling fans on Instagram back in June, quote, “So…I’m very proud of my Selling Sunset family for getting two more seasons and hopefully Emmy nomination. I decided not to go on with the show and it was not an easy decision! Being part of such a successful hit is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful for!!”
Lastly, we all know by now that Christine Quinn would not be returning for the show’s sixth and seven seasons. In a conversation with E! News, Christine Quinn was very clear that she has put her foot down regarding her exit from the series. She said, “I would never come back in a million years. But that doesn’t mean I’m not gonna do TV anymore.”
Moreover, we would also like to highlight that there can be some new additions or removal to the cast which will be announced later. The series is produced by Lionsgate and Done and Done Productions and is executive produced by creator Adam DiVello, Sundee Manusakis, Kristofer Lindquist, Skyler Wakil, and Jason Oppenheim.
