BTS’ Suga’s love for India and Bollywood leaves fans awestruck


During his Weverse live after his second show in Bangkok for the D-DAY concert tour on June 11, SUGA expressed his love for India and Bollywood films. SUGA mentioned that BTS had planned to come to India for the MAP OF THE SOUL:7 Tour but had to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He also revealed that they had explored potential concert locations in India. This news delighted Indian ARMYs, and SUGA’s appreciation for his Indian fans and love for Bollywood further strengthened their bond.

BTS’ Interest in Indian Films

While it is known that BTS members Jimin and Jungkook are fans of Indian films like RRR and 3 Idiots, SUGA recently joined the list. During the Weverse live, SUGA expressed his keen interest in Indian films and his love for Bollywood. As BTS had considered Mumbai, the heart of Bollywood, as a potential concert location for the MAP OF THE SOUL:7 Tour, SUGA’s admiration for Bollywood films resonated with Indian ARMYs.

SUGA’s D-DAY Tour as AgustD

SUGA’s solo album, D-DAY, became a record-breaking million-seller and marked the beginning of his first solo concert tour. The tour started on April 26, 2023, and after completing the American leg, SUGA is currently halfway through the Asian segment. He has successfully performed sold-out shows in Belmont Park, Newark, Rosemont, L.A., Oakland, and Jakarta. Although the Asian leg of the D-DAY tour does not include India, SUGA expressed his desire to come to India and perform in many other places where BTS has not yet held concerts.
