Ginny & Georgia Season 3 Release Date and Time Slot
As of writing this, we strongly speculate that the new season is likely to begin production sometime around late 2023 and conclude sometime around April 2024, just like the second season. Only if the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike comes to an end, it’s only then the scripts will be fully completed, and production can begin, followed by post-production, which includes some of the most difficult jobs of editing the episodes as per the creator’s desire to meet the demands of loyal viewers.
If we’re being honest, everything pertaining to the release date is speculative, but given the timeline from the past two seasons, we won’t be surprised if the network might be planning an early 2025 release on Netflix with the same premiere time as other shows on the streaming service, which is 12:00 a.m. (PT) or 3:00 a.m. (ET). The creators might opt to have a similar one-year gap as before so that the series won’t be delayed any further.
Especially if we consider the fact that the overall reception and the increasing demand of the fans have been growing with each passing day, we are certain that Netflix, along with the crew of the show, would want to capitalize on the success of this comedy-drama television series as soon as possible! While the fans wait for some confirmation, they should keep a closer eye on the show’s social media handles of the show to get all the latest details and updates.
Additionally, the official Netflix Twitter handle also confirmed the renewal of the show, quoting, “Ginny & Georgia has been renewed for Season 3 — and Season 4!” Take a look at the official announcement for Season 3 renewal below:

Ginny & Georgia Season 3 Plot
Though most of the plotlines have been kept in a hush, we are certain that the next season will definitely pick up from the massive cliffhanger from the finale episode, “I’m No Cinderella,” of the second season in which the viewers got to see that as Gil continues to make threats and Cordova closes in, revelations about Georgia’s past surface at the worst possible time. By the end, flashbacks show Gil throwing Georgia to the ground and Georgia threatening Gil with a gun before Gil wrestles it out of her hands. It will be interesting to see how the story picks up after this jaw-dropping ending!
Creator Sarah Lampert previously told Tudum that she has the story “all planned out.” Further adding, “When we had to develop the storyline for Season 2, we knew exactly what we wanted Season 3 to be,” Lampert told Tudum before the launch of the second season. “Georgia needed to kill someone and she needed to kill someone in Wellsbury, Massachusetts.” Lampert also added that Season 3 will throw “new hurdles, new relationships, and new challenges” at Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Georgia “in a way we haven’t seen before on the show.”
While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter after the premiere of season 2, former showrunner Debra J. Fisher teased if the show’s writers’ room had already started planning for season 3, quote: “Seeing everybody watch the show and seeing all the excitement for the show, I will say that it’s been hard to not think about season three and where we want to go,” Fisher told the outlet at the time. Further adding, “Because when Sarah [Lampert, the series creator] and I pitched the show to Netflix, we did pitch four seasons, so we know what we want the end game to be. We know what we want the last episode to be.”
Ginny & Georgia Season 3 Spoilers
According to a conversation with creator Sarah Lampert and cast members Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry earlier in 2023, TV Guide was able to gather some spoilers for the new season. So, if you don’t want to learn about them, we suggest the readers skip the following section of the article, as it contains some heavy spoilers!
Spoiler 1: Some plotting is already taking place: “I think she has a plan. I think she knows probably how she’s already going to handle this,” Howey told TV Guide. “Is she ready? It doesn’t matter, because she’s going to handle it because that’s what she does.”
Spoiler 2: What’s up with Ginny and Marcus?: “Ginny has that layer of like, ‘My mom’s a killer,’ all this stuff,” Gentry explained when asked where she thinks the relationship is at. “I think they should be friends right. I think they need to be there for each other in a way that doesn’t have strings attached.”
Spoiler 3: Are Georgia and Joe developing feelings for one another?: “What Georgia doesn’t realize is what Joe could potentially bring to the table as a romantic partner. Paul represents everything that she’s trying to prove to herself,” Lampert teased. Adding, “[Paul] can provide her with this good life for her and the family. It’s not that Joe wouldn’t have given her that, but I think she’s so blinded by what Paul is offering that even though she has a really deep emotional connection with Joe, it’s just not something she explored.”
Spoiler 4: Has Paul reached his breaking point?: “[Paul] really did bring in that stability to a season of madness. He really brought a grounding to the Miller household that I think was necessary,” Lampert said. “Paul really loves her. That’s really real. Has he reached a breaking point? I think that would need to be explored in Season 3.”
Ginny & Georgia Season 3 Cast and Crew
No new cast members have been rumored or hinted at being in the new season of the much-anticipated third season of Ginny & Georgia.

We would also like to emphasize that there were many resorts indicating tensions between Fisher and Ginny & Georgia creator Sarah Lampert before the change in showrunners. There were speculations about Fisher leaving the program around April. Glinski’s employment also predates the WGA strike, which started on May 2, 2023.
