Here is everything we know so far about Netflix’s Emily in Paris Season 4.

Emily in Paris Season 4: When will the new season release on Netflix?

Emily in Paris Season 4 Release Date: When will it premiere?

The much-awaited fourth season of Netflix’s drama-comedy series Emily in Paris was announced back on January 10, 2021, alongside a third season announcement that had already been released last year on December 21, 2022. It’s been quite a while since the renewal was confirmed by the streaming platform, and the fans are now anticipating what the potential release window of the next chapter might be.

If you are wondering the same, then we can assure the readers that, as of now, there seems little to no chance that the series will make its comeback in 2023. We say this with a bit of conviction because the ongoing writer’s stroke has stopped the production of the fourth season show, which sadly will lead to further delays. Otherwise, it is expected sometime around the summer season for things to go right back on track.

But if things don’t go as planned, then there is a chance the creators might aim for the show’s return sometime in early to mid-2024, as the production also needs time to complete the editing, which can take up to three to four months for additional workload until the episodes are effective in every way possible. Of course, this is all conjecture, and the network will confirm these details in the coming months as production wraps up on time.

We know that all the prior three seasons had a similar one-year gap, so this certainly clears any doubts in the minds of fans if we consider the production timeline set over the last three successful seasons. The episodes will all also have the same time slot of 2:00 a.m. (PT) or 3:00 a.m. (ET), with every new episode dropping on the same day. In order to receive updates on when the show premieres, interested viewers can also enable notifications.

Additionally, check out the official renewal announcement as shared on the official Twitter handle among their followers, quoting, “Emily in Paris has been renewed for Season 3—and Season 4!” Take a look at the official post below:

Emily in Paris Season 4 Plot: What to expect?

Despite the filming for the fourth season being delayed due to the ongoing writers’ strike, star Lily Collins surprised fans by dropping some clues during the Global Netflix Tudum event. Collins suggested what the next season will answer: “Is Alfie still heartbroken?”, “Will Gabriel get his Michelin star?, ” “Will Mindy and the band go to Eurovision?”, “Will Sylvie’s rekindled love last?”, and the question on all of our minds: “Will Emily and Gabriel finally get together?”

That’s not it! Collins also suggested that Season 4 will include “more fun, more fashion and of course, more drama.” Adding more credibility to the theme for the next season, creator Darren Star told Tudum about Emily and Gabriel’s relationship, quoting, “These are two characters who are star-crossed lovers. They have a lot of passion for one another. They have things that are getting in their way, but, at the same time, I feel like every season, in a strange kind of way, their relationship deepens.”

We would also like to mention that Darren Star stated, “I think Season 4 is about how to balance business and toxic relationships because that’s going to be happening with a lot of our characters.” Additionally, moving on to Mindy and possibly the biggest question about Season 4. Will we see Eurovision on the show, and will you film at the real event? To which Star replied, “I don’t know what the details of filming are but I think that our plan is to go to Eurovision next season, we’re all set up for it. And I think we’ve got a deserving song. I love that song, “Mon Soleil,” I think it would definitely be a worthy entry.”

Last but not least, to leave the recent updates on a positive note, Lily Collins also stated that in the new episodes, Emily would be heading to a different place; yes, you guessed it right, a visit to another iconic European city is finally happening! “While Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes some unexpected twists this season. Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.” Take a look at the official clip as shared on Netflix’s YouTube channel below:

Emily in Paris Season 4: Is there any trailer?

Unfortunately, the network has not yet released any new teaser for the new season of Emily in Paris as the filming has currently worked due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, which hasn’t come to a resolution yet.

In the meantime, we suggest you check out the latest season, which follows one year after Emily moved from Chicago to Paris for her dream job and finds herself at a crucial crossroads in every aspect of her life. Faced with two very different paths, Emily will have to decide exactly where her loyalties lie – at work and in her romantic life – and what those decisions mean for her future in France. All while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides.

For the third season, review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reported an approval rating of 65% based on 17 reviews, with an average rating of 5.7/10. The website’s critics’ consensus reads, “Emily in Paris’s bubbly watch ability keeps threatening to go flat in a third season that seems content to spin its wheels, but this gallic travelogue will still be a pleasant enough journey for fans.” Metacritic gave the season a weighted average score of 54 out of 100 based on 10 reviews, indicating “mixed or average reviews.”
