One-Punch Man Season 3: Is it still happening or not?

One-Punch Man Season 3: Is it renewed or canceled?

We are delighted to inform our loyal readers that the beloved anime television series will be back for another chapter sooner than you were anticipating!

Yes, you read it right—the network has officially greenlit a third season of One-Punch Man, which was announced last year on August 18, 2022, giving it months of head start with an early renewal as it has been in active development since then. Due to the short gap in announcements, there is a big chance that the series can potentially premiere in Japan by late 2023 or early 2024. Moreover, the English-dubbed version will likely follow approximately six months later, around mid-2024.

Until there is any official confirmation, we’ll just have to wait and see what the coming months have in store for the fans! Also, check out the official third season’s announcement with a new poster below:

One-Punch Man Season 3: What to expect from the new season?

Saitama started out being a hero just for fun. After three years of “special” training, he became so powerful that he could defeat opponents with a single punch. Now, alongside Genos, his faithful cyborg disciple, Saitama is ready to begin his official duties as a professional hero working with the Hero Association.

However, the frequency of monster appearances is surging, and it increasingly appears as if the Great Seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth’s doom is coming true. In the midst of this crisis, the “hero hunter” Garou, makes his own appearance. Although there are no precise storyline details for One-Punch Man Season 3, it’s safe to presume it will continue immediately after the events of Season two and adapt the following arc from the original manga.

One-Punch Man Season 3: Is it still happening or not?

It is expected to begin with an adaptation of Volume 17, Chapter 86 of the original manga series in order to be consistent with the first two seasons, which also depicted the story from the original source material without deviating further from it. This simply means that the fans love to see it translated from the pages to television screens! The viewers should expect the studio to retain the high level of animation quality that has been iconic in the series.

Moreover, the manga’s summary for Volume 17 states: “The Hero Hunter is near death when the Monster Association attempts to steal him away, unleashing Elder Centipede in the process. Bang and Bomb face it head-on before Genos boldly enters the fray!” Of course, this is just our prediction, and things might change, which will be confirmed once the release date draws in. Until then, we can just sit back and anticipate what the future of the series looks like!
