Is it really time to say goodbye to one of the beloved series from the Epix catalog that fans have religiously watched since its debut last year? If you have been tuned into streaming the show, then we know that many fans are wondering if the show will be renewed or if it has concluded for good with the second season.
This is a question that has started to spread like wildfire all over social media and needs to be answered rather quickly, especially for the fans who have spent so much of their own time watching the last two seasons. So, if you’re wondering the same thing, then you’ve come to the right place as you wait for the adventure of a lifetime!
We’ve compiled a quick summary of everything you need to know about the current status of this popular series. Here’s everything we know about another action-packed season of From.
From Season 3 Renewal Status: When will it be released?
Let’s clarify the status of the renewal without delaying its reveal any further.
As of writing this, there has been no official statement regarding the renewal of the series for a third season, as the second season premiered a few months ago. But much to viewers’ delight, many reports have suggested that the third season has been in active development for months since the second season premiere, and it is reported to begin its official filming sometime this summer season around July 2023, as it is rumored to wrap up filming by December of this year.
Hence, predicting anytime about the release date is way too early as the ongoing 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, writing for the season might have also been impacted like other shows on various networks, thus causing a significant delay in production to fully commence without hurdles. There is a slight chance that if the resolution isn’t provided soon for the writers, then the network might just change its schedule, and the season will likely not premiere until 2024!
Following these uncertainties, there is no chance that the network will release new updates regarding the release date in the coming months. So, we would also like to highlight that this is just our guess that the next season might follow the same pattern and be released in a similar time frame. Hence, we suggest that the viewers be patient and keep a close eye on the social media platforms to get all the details without missing out on any future updates.
From Season 3 Plot: What to expect?
The series is expected to follow the basic theme, which expands into a nightmarish town in Middle America that traps everyone who enters. Unwilling residents strive to stay alive and search for a way out, plagued by terrifying nocturnal creatures from the surrounding forest and secrets hidden in the town. Moreover, the series is also expected to continue in the second season, which follows: “Hope wears thin and tensions run high as a busload of unsuspecting newcomers arrives in town. Season Two of From will explore just how far the residents of this nightmarish place are willing to go to find answers, even as chilling new threats to their safety—and their sanity—begin to emerge.”
*Spoiler’s Alert*
Moreover, the second season’s finale, “Once Upon a Time?” will also play a crucial role in the development of the next season’s overall plotlines. As, in the final, we got to see that Donna recovers Randall, who is alive but in a coma like Julie and Mari. Sara tells Boyd that he accidentally released the entity responsible for all of this and that he has to destroy the music box. He, Sara, and Kenny try to find the box in the forest but only find ruins. Ellis and a pregnant Fatima get married, and Boyd is inspired by a remark Ellis makes about finding light in the darkness.
He takes a torch that he recovered from his encounter with Martin and returns to the ruins in the forest. After lighting the torch, he finds himself back in prison, where he sees Julie, Mari, and Randall chained up and being tortured by an unseen force. He goes to destroy the music box but sees a vision of Abby, who tells him that fighting this entity is pointless and will only prolong everyone’s suffering. Boyd refuses to listen and destroys the music box, causing the three prisoners to be awake from their comas and seemingly ending the immediate threat to the town.
Meanwhile, Jade searches the tunnels – now seemingly devoid of the creatures – and sees a vision of seven ghastly children lying on stone beds and chanting at an opening in the ceiling that matches the symbol he’s been seeing. Victor takes Tabitha to a tree which transports her to the tower, where she believes the ghastly children are being kept prisoner. After climbing to the top of the tower, she is met by the Boy in White, who apologizes and explains this is the only way before shoving Tabitha out a window. Tabitha awakens in a hospital, where a doctor tells her she was found on the side of a trail by hikers three days earlier. A stunned Tabitha realizes she’s escaped to the outside world.
