Attack on Titan Season 4: What to expect in the final season?

The fourth season will be split into three parts and takes place four years after Eren and his compatriots learned the truth about their situation. A new cast of characters, part of the enemy’s elite Warrior Unit, is pitted into war against the Survey Corps as each side seeks to protect their home and ideals. At the same time, Eren has concocted a devasting plan to take care of his homeland’s enemies. The viewers will get to see that four years after the failed attempt to reclaim the Founding Titan, Gabi Braun and Falco Grice, two young Eldian Warrior candidates, are introduced in the season.

They are vying to inherit Reiner’s Armored Titan. The Survey Corps launch an attack on their home country while Marley prepares to invade Paradis in order to bolster their frail military and recover the Founding Titan. Both sides lose a lot of people during the conflict between Marley and the Paradis forces in Marley and the Shiganshina District, and Gabi and Falco are compelled to discuss their internal conflicts regarding the alleged “devils,” of Paradis.

In the second half of the season, Eren Jaeger uses the Rumbling to preemptively target the world outside of Paradis in an effort to eradicate all life there. He does this because he is aware of the widespread anti-Eldian sentiment brought on by Marleyan propaganda. In order to stop Eren’s Founding Titan and put an end to the Rumbling, the Alliance travels to Marley in the third episode of the season under the leadership of members of the Survey Corps and Warrior Unit.  Take a look at the official trailer for the final season of the series on the youtube channel below which elaborates and describes the series as follows:

Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin, many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress. Only the heroic members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive. Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!”
