5 Best shows coming in 2023

1. You season 4

YOU | Season 4 Date Announcement | Netflix

As announced by the official streamer at its TUDUM virtual fan event, You season 4 will be making its way in 2023 in two parts; part 1, releasing on February 10, and part 2, on March 10. As hinted in the official teaser video, season 4 will see Joe adopting the vesture of professor Jonathan Moore who is now settled in Paris in the search for Marienne. Will Joe repeat the same cycle that he did in the previous seasons?

The official synopsis of You (courtesy of Netflix): “A dangerously charming, intensely obsessive young man goes to extreme measures to insert himself into the lives of those he is transfixed by.”

2. Shadow and Bone season 2

Shadow and Bone | Official Trailer | Netflix

Ever since Shadow and Bone were renewed for season 2 (which was within two months of the show’s release), people have madly anticipated for the second season to arrive on Netflix. However, according to Netflix Life, the show’s filming didn’t begin until January 2022 and wrapped on June 6, 2022. Although the show does not have any official release date as of yet, it is confirmed to be released sometime in 2023.

The official synopsis of Shadow and Bone (IMDb): “Dark forces conspire against orphan mapmaker Alina Starkov when she unleashes an extraordinary power that could change the fate of her war-torn world.”

3. The Witcher season 3

THE WITCHER | MAIN TRAILER | NETFLIX

Alike You season 4, The Witcher season 3 is announced to have a summer 2023 release during Netflix’s TUDUM event. Be that as it may, the official streamer did not disclose the release date of its most-watched original series as of yet. However, if it’s a summer release, it would fall somewhere between June 21 and September 2023.

The Witcher season 3 has garnered some attention of its own before it nears its release date based upon its lead. As you must have already heard the disappointing news of The Witcher season 3 being the last one for Henry Cavill in the lead role, fans can’t wait to watch it next year. His role will be played by Liam Hemsworth in the subsequent seasons of The Witcher.

The official synopsis of The Witcher ( courtesy of IMDb): “Geralt of Rivia is a witcher, a mutant with special powers who kills monsters for money. The land is in a state of turmoil, due to the empire of Nilfgaard seeking to enlarge its territory. Among the refugees of this struggle is Cirilla, the Princess of Cintra, one of Nilfgaard’s victims. She and Geralt share a destiny.”

4. Never Have I Ever season 4

Now how can we forget this beauty? In March 2022, Netflix announced the renewal of the show’s fourth season, which will, unfortunately, be the final season. The fourth season has reportedly wrapped filming in early August 2022. A 2023 release of Never Have I Ever season 4 is what you can look forward to. Although we don’t have a specific release date announcement, you can look forward to a summer 2023 release.

Season 4 of Never Have I Ever is expected to follow Devi and her group of friends in their senior year of high school. And as Lang Fisher, the co-creator of the series, assured all the show’s fans during the TUDUM event, you can look forward to the love triangle in the fourth season.

The official synopsis of Never Have I Ever (courtesy of IMDb): “The complicated life of a modern-day first-generation Indian American teenage girl, inspired by Mindy Kaling’s own childhood.”

5. Sex Education season 4

Sex Education | Season 3 | Official Trailer | Netflix

Ever since the production of Sex Education season 4 was delayed, fans have been perched on the edge of their seats, waiting for an update to ameliorate their knowledge of sex. Since a 2022 release of Sex Education season 4 is not on the list, a 2023 release is expected. With the third season ending on quite an unexpected note with Moordal Secondary School being sold, and Maeve departing for the United States, among many shocking things, season 4 of Sex Education is expected to answer many questions.

The official synopsis of Sex Education (courtesy of IMDb): “When his classmates learn about his home life, Otis decides to use his insider knowledge to improve his status at school, so he teams with whip-smart bad girl Maeve to set up an underground sex therapy clinic to deal with their classmates’ problems.”
