Ginny & Georgia Season 2
“Love. Everyone thinks love is so beautiful. Such a fairytale.”
The second season will release on January 5, 2023, on Netflix. According to Netflix Tudum, Season 2 will delve further into Georgia’s past, including her tumultuous history with Austin’s father Gil (Aaron Ashmore) as he reenters the scene fresh from prison. Meanwhile – because discovering your mom’s a murderer isn’t enough to cope with – Ginny also has to deal with the MANG (her group of high school girlfriends) fallout, led by Max (Sara Waisglass), who was far from happy to find out her bestie was hooking up with her twin brother at the end of Season 1. Additionally, both Georgia’s reaction to Ginny and Austin’s abandonment and Ginny’s new knowledge shape the mother/daughter relationship for the rest of Season 2.
You Season 4
“There’s nothing simple about it when somebody gets stuck in your mind.”
The first part will release on February 9, 2023, and the second part on March 9, 2023. According to Netflix, You Season 4 follows after going into self-imposed “exile” in the You Season 3 finale. Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) is reinventing himself as a “London Boy” in Season 4 – and now we finally know when we’ll meet the rebrand. Last time we checked in with the internet’s favorite murderous stalker, Joe had killed his wife, Love (Victoria Pedretti), burned down their home to fake his death (as Taylor Swift’s “Exile” played), given up their son for adoption and then fled to France to find Marienne (Tati Gabrielle). But in Season 4, we’ll reunite with Joe, who is now living in London as a college professor named Jonathan Moore.
Bridgerton Season 3
“So many flowers when what I truly seek is a gem.”
Season 3 will definitely return to your screen as the production has not reached its concluding stage and is supposedly set to wrap sometime in December 2022. If we were to guess, we suspect Netflix is setting up Bridgerton Season 3 for an early 2023 release. The focus of Season 3 is Penelope and Colin’s relationship, which is the subject of Romancing Mister Bridgerton, the fourth book in Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton series. The official synopsis from the first lines of the pilot episode titled, “Out of the Shadows,” states, “Dearest gentle reader, we’ve been apart for far too long. At last, London’s smart set has made its return, and so too has this author. As the season begins the question on everyone’s minds is, of course, which newly-minted debutante will shine the brightest? The crop this year appears to be rather dazzling indeed, unfortunately, not every young lady can attract the light.”
Shadow and Bone Season 2
“When Our Closest Friend Is In Trouble, We Do Foolish Things.”
The second season is scheduled to premiere in 2023, but the exact release date has not been revealed yet. Netflix hasn’t provided us with any official logline or plot structure but it is expected to adapt from the book. The official synopsis of the second book of the Shadow and Bone series reads, “The Darkling has emerged from the Shadow Fold with a terrifying new power and a dangerous plan that will test the very boundaries of the natural world. With the help of a notorious privateer, Alina returns to the country she abandoned, determined to fight the forces gathering against Ravka. But as her power grows, Alina slips deeper into the Darkling’s game of forbidden magic and farther away from Mal. Somehow, she will have to choose between her country, her power, and the love she always thought would guide her—or risk losing everything to the oncoming storm.”
Heartstopper Season 2
“Have you finally decided to have a rebellious phase?”
On May 20, 2022, it was announced that Heartstopper was renewed for a second and third season. It is expected to premiere sometime around early 2023 with every new episode dropping on the same day. Heartstopper Season 2 will unquestionably depict how the school is responding to Charlie and Nick’s homosexual relationship. Charlie has a lot of support from his art teacher, Mr. Ajayi (Fisayo Akinade). The second season will go into greater detail regarding Tao and Elle’s relationship. Additionally, Tara and Darcy’s relationship may take on new dimensions. “For me, it’s just about celebrating queer joy,” Oseman told Tudum last April. “Above all, I hope that [Heartstopper] just makes people smile and brightens their day – but I also hope that it inspires, particularly, young queer people to believe that they can find happiness and find romance and find friendship.”
