A romanticized take on life in Paris from an American point of view, the storyline gets interesting as Emily struggles to adapt to a foreign land, far away from home. Emily’s further adventures in Paris, trying to find a work-life balance and whether or not she is able to find the love of her life are the reasons to watch out this show, especially for fans of romance.

Never Have I Ever

Another American romantic comedy-drama series starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Never Have I Ever has been created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher. The series which first premiered on Netflix on April 27, 2020, already has 3 seasons to its name and is now eyeing at season 4 in 2023.

The story traces the journey of an Indian origin Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) who after witnessing her father Mohan’s (Sendhil Ramamurthy) sudden death and temporarily losing the sensation of her legs due to trauma, begins her undergraduate year and tries to turn her life around. Struggling with her grief and a complicated relationship with her mother Nalini (Pooma Jagannathan), Devi’s life turns chaotic when she somehow ends up in a romantic relationship with not one but two boys. It’s worth watching how Devi has to navigate through the waters of high school romance while also dealing with her family and her Indian identity at the same time.
