The first season of the series was released in 2020 on Netflix and the second premiered on March 25, 2022. Apart from the depiction of the historical period, the show has been loved for its romantic storyline and actors’ performances.

Emily in Paris
Already in its third season, Emily in Paris first debuted on Netflix on October 20, 2020. Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and originally developed for Paramount Network, the series moved to Netflix in July 2020. The fourth season of Emily in Paris was already renewed back when the third season was announced.
The plot revolves around Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) who upon realizing that her life is at a standstill in Chicago, grabs the opportunity when her firm requires her to travel to France and take up a social media executive position at their Paris branch. A romanticized take on life in Paris from an American point of view, the storyline gets interesting as Emily struggles to adapt to a foreign land, far away from home. Emily’s further adventures in Paris, trying to find a work-life balance and whether or not she is able to find the love of her life are the reasons to watch out this show, especially for fans of romance.

Never Have I Ever
Another American romantic comedy-drama series starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Never Have I Ever has been created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher. The series which first premiered on Netflix on April 27, 2020, already has 3 seasons to its name and is now eyeing at season 4 in 2023.
The story traces the journey of an Indian origin Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) who after witnessing her father Mohan’s (Sendhil Ramamurthy) sudden death and temporarily losing the sensation of her legs due to trauma, begins her undergraduate year and tries to turn her life around. Struggling with her grief and a complicated relationship with her mother Nalini (Pooma Jagannathan), Devi’s life turns chaotic when she somehow ends up in a romantic relationship with not one but two boys. It’s worth watching how Devi has to navigate through the waters of high school romance while also dealing with her family and her Indian identity at the same time.
Sweet Magnolias
An American romantic drama series, Sweet Magnolias has been developed by Sheryl J. Anderson and based on the Sweet Magnolias novels by Sherryl Woods. Starring Joanna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, Heather Headley, and Jamie Lynn Spears, the series first premiered on Netflix on May 19, 2020.
It follows a trio of three best friends, known as the Sweet Magnolias, and how they lift each other up as they juggle relationships, family, and careers in the small Southern town of Serenity (North Carolina). Virgin River
Another American romantic drama series, it is produced by Reel World Management, and based on the Virgin River novels by Robyn Carr. Revolving around Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), a midwife and nurse practitioner who moves to the small Northern California town of Virgin River, looking for a fresh start, the show takes us back into Mel’s painful past which she is trying to move on from, while sparks fly between her and Jack.
