It’s fairly normal for everyone to start their day with a cup of warm milk and some cereal. Yet according to Ayurveda, it’s always best to start the day with a light breakfast that doesn’t include milk. Being heavy, milk may be detrimental to your health when consumed first thing in the morning. It’s undoubtedly bad for your general health if milk causes your body’s insulin levels to rise.
Experts believe that starting the day with a heavy beverage like milk is rather disrespectful to your digestive system. Large meals may be difficult for the stomach to process, making them more likely to cause digestive disorders such as bloating, gas, stomach ache, vomiting, etc.
Milk causes indigestion in some people
The calcium in milk may irritate the lining of the stomach. It’s also possible that the carbonated beverages used to mix it could increase the risk of stomach pain for some people. Some people experience bloating after drinking milk, which could be due to a mixture of factors. However, it’s a good idea to drink a glass of milk on a regular basis to ensure you’re getting enough nutrients and energy throughout the day.
Milk causes stomach bloating and gas
Milk can be a natural stimulant of the stomach, but drinking it early in the morning when your body’s digestive system is not fully awake can increase the chances of developing gas and bloating in the stomach. Similarly, drinking a lot of milk while you’re at work can also contribute to bloating because it can overstimulate the stomach and make you more prone to developing bloating.
It might cause fatigue
It can make you more tired during the day. This is because the fat in milk is a major source of energy for the body, so if you drink a lot of it in the morning it can cause you to feel fatigued throughout the day.
Milk can cause an allergic reaction in people with lactose intolerance
Milk causes an increase in mucus production and congestion in people who are lactose intolerant. Because the calcium in milk can interfere with the absorption of certain antibiotics, such as tetracycline. This can lead to weight gain due to the high calorie and fat content in whole milk. Lactose, a sugar found in milk, can be difficult for some people to digest and it may cause a spike in blood sugar levels due to the lactose and natural sugars found in milk
Milk can trigger acne
It can cause acne because milk contains hormones that can interact with our own hormones and increase sebum production, which in turn can lead to acne breakouts. Additionally, drinking milk in the morning on an empty stomach can cause digestive issues such as bloating and diarrhea for some people who are lactose intolerant. However, it’s important to note that milk is also a good source of calcium and other nutrients that are beneficial.
Milk can cause nausea
It has been observed that nausea is one of the most common symptoms of lactose intolerance. Other than that, people who consume more than 2 to 3 glasses of milk have complained of nausea. This happens due to the under-digestion of lactose.
Milk is a part of our staple diet. However, in recent times it has been found that milk has harmful effects on the human body. Research shows that the negative effects of milk including acne have been linked to milk for the longest time. Recent studies have shown that teenagers who drink more than 3 glasses of milk per day have higher acne.
The same study also says that people who consume more than three glasses of milk per day have an increased risk of bone fractures. Therefore, it is safe to say that consuming milk in moderation is the key to good health!
