Menstrual cramps are caused because of contractions in the uterus. The uterus is nothing but a muscle, and you can surely get some relief by relaxing your muscles by applying heat. So why not curl up on your bed with a heating pad or use options like heating patches to improve your blood flow and relieve tension.
6. Pop a pill
We might have many home remedies or other options to get rid of period pain, but these options can sometimes be of no use. Therefore, the option of popping a painkiller can be the only one left. Medications like ibuprofen, aspirin, and naproxen sodium can prove to be effective. The only thing you should take care of is consulting a doctor before going for any medication that can help in reducing your period cramps.
