When will this American family drama’s fifth season end? Here is everything we know so far about the finale episode of
A Million Little Things Season 5.
Attention readers! The good news has arrived earlier than you anticipated, which makes the upcoming weeks even more joyful than before. We are delighted to inform you that the final episode, whose title has yet to be disclosed, is all set to premiere on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the late-night schedule of 10:00–11:00 p.m. EDT in the serialized ensemble drama’s original time slot on a weekly basis.
We would like to highlight that ABC has also released the official synopsis of the final episode which states, “An unexpected death inspires some friends to take control of their lives and helps them realize the relationships they share may be the one thing that can save them from themselves.” It is expected to conclude on the basic premise of the fifth season which is as follows:
Season five will find them both leaning on their surrogate parents when they need them the most and finding the strength to return that favor in some beautiful and unexpected ways. Finally, back together and stronger than ever, Gary and Maggie set their sights on having a child last season. But just as they got good news amidst their difficult fertility journey, Gary learned his cancer was back.
This season will be a challenging one for Maggie. Balancing her pregnancy, a demanding job as a successful radio host, and her worry over what the future holds for her and her growing family. Gary, faced with his own mortality, must make some difficult choices about his future that force him to do the one thing that’s always been the hardest for him — need someone.
As the fifth and final season unfolds, we’ll watch through laughter and tears as we bring this incredible journey to its conclusion. Along the way, we’ll explore the depths of friendship, love, and sorrow as we bid this special family of friends goodbye, once again proving that friendship really is a million little things.

A Million Little Things Season 5: Is it the final season of the series?
Yes, it’s true! The fifth season of ABC’s A Million Little Things will be the show’s final.
According to Deadline, “I know seeing this show end may be sad for many people (especially my mom who watches live every week), but I always knew I wanted to follow these friends for 5 seasons and leave them when the time was right,” said AMLT creator and executive producer DJ Nash, who drew on personal experience for the series.
“When we started making our show, I never could have imagined this incredible community of ‘Millionaires’ who would come together and not only watch, but also share with each other their personal struggles, their pain, and ultimately their true grit. I am both honored and humbled by all of it and am so in awe of the incredible actors, writers, directors, and crew who lend their talent to make our show. I am also so grateful that ABC now makes mental health awareness one of the top issues for which it advocates. Terrence and I can’t wait for the Millionaires to watch what we have planned for our final season.”
In addition to this, the cast members also made the announcement in a video message for fans posted on Instagram, quoting, “There aren’t enough ‘thank yous’ in the world to understand our gratitude for our fans through this journey. #AMillionLittleThings returns for the fifth and final season on February 8 on ABC.” Check out the official message below:
