The official statement

According to People, Adam Levine shared the statement on his Instagram story that reads, “A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air. I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life. He further added, “In certain instances it became inappropriate; I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.”

The Sugar singer further continued and said, “My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it. And we will get through it together.”

The allegations

Talking about Adam Levine’s statement, it comes in response to a viral video on TikTok shared by influencer Sumner Stroh in which she alleged having a year-long affair with the Animals singer. Although Stroh did not provide details of the period of their affair, she did share screenshots of her DMs with the singer and added that the duo is not in talking terms since April. Stroh further admitted that she wanted to end things privately but had to come out since one of her friends threatened to leak the DMs to a tabloid.

The allegations continue

While the Maroon 5 singer released a statement addressing the cheating allegations, reports state that two more models have accused Levine of sending flirty DMs. According to Page Six, a woman going by the name of Alyson Rosef shared her alleged DMs with the singer. One of the messages that Levine allegedly sent her reportedly said, “I shouldn’t be talking to you you know [that] right?” In a TikTok video, Rosef further claimed she had more messages but chose not to share them because they are not appropriate.

According to Page Six, comedian Maryka also took to her Instagram story and shared alleged DMs between her and Adam Levine. She shared the screenshot of a message sent to her that reads, “I’m now obsessed with you.” The alleged conversation also had the comedian asking Levine about his marriage, after which he reportedly writes back, “Yes but it’s a bit complicated. Stuff gets hard and the vid thing didn’t help. I might get away.”
