Aespa’s new record

It was only recently that TIME MAGAZINE announced its annual list of the 10 Next Generation Leaders on May 12, 2022. Now, the fans were too excited to see a new name shining up and above in the spotlight of the rising stars. Yes, we are talking about Aespa here. The publication’s popular list for 2022 includes the popular K-pop girls group this year. So, Aespa has joined Olga Rudenko – chief editor of the Kyiv Independent, Maximilian Davis – Creative Director, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jonathan Bailey – Bridgerton actor, Deepica Mutyala – Beauty Influencer, CKay – Singer, Songwriter, and Record Producer in the list of the Next Generation Leaders this year.

The Coachella performance

Before the announcement by TIME MAGAZINE, the Aespa group members were already creating a sensation after having given a rocking performance at the Coachella Music Festival. The said performance took place towards the end of April and won the hearts of millions. The group members were also cheered for their unique metaverse story that included complex narratives, an arc villain, and more! One of the members of Aespa, Giselle opened up about the metaverse concept and also stated that its main goal was to normalize the same concept for all the fans of the popular K-pop band.

Talking about the Coachella Music Festival, Aespa became the third-ever K-pop band to have performed at the annual mega event. They were also the first K-pop girl group to have been formally invited to perform on the main stage.

Aespa members performed their yet-to-be-released song Life’s Too Short in English at the Coachella Music Festival and received a huge round of applause from everyone. This is the first time since the group’s debut that Aespa has performed to the cheers of the audience in any event. It is because the girl band debuted in November 2020 and had no live audiences due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Aespa members were too excited to perform in front of a large audience for the first time.
