The 7th episode, “Enemy of the People,” is now scheduled to release next month on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the same time slot of 10:01–11:00 p.m. EDT, with the following episodes expected to drop on the subsequent Thursdays on the ABC network.
In addition to this, the episodes will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu the next day. The teleplay of the episode is written by Jay Beattie. The story of the episode has been credited to Peter Elkoff and Jay Beattie. The official synopsis of the episode states, “The stakes are high when Eileen is taken hostage in the newsroom; as the clock ticks, the team races to help before it’s too late.”

The 8th episode, “Tell a Reporter Not To Do Something and Suddenly It’s a Party,” will release the following week on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the same time slot. The official synopsis of the episode states, “Recently disgraced reporter Eileen Fitzgerald leaves her high-profile New York life behind to join a daily metro newspaper in Anchorage, Alaska, on a journey to find both personal and professional redemption.”
The main cast members of the series who will return include Hilary Swank as Eileen Fitzgerald, Jeff Perry as Stanley Cornik, Grace Dove as Roz Friendly, Meredith Holzman as Claire Muncy, Matt Malloy as Bob Young, Pablo Castelblanco as Gabriel Tovar, Ami Park as Yuna Park, and Craig Frank as Austin Teague. The recurring cast members include Irene Bedard as Sylvie Nanmac, Shane McRae as Aaron Pritchard, Phillip Lewitski as Miles, Joe Tippett as Jamie, Kourtney Bell as Karla, and Bill Dawes as the Concerned Citizen.
When released, you can watch all the new episodes of, “Alaska Daily,” on ABC and Hulu. The viewers can buy a subscription plan according to their preferences, which allows viewers to watch new episodes based on location when the episode airs worldwide. The show also premiered on Disney+ (Star Hub) in Hong Kong on November 9, 2022. This American drama television series is created by Tom McCarthy for ABC. Additionally, McCarthy executive produces with Swank, Melissa Wells, Bert Salke, and Anchorage Daily News’ Kyle Hopkins and Ryan Binkley. Rae Baron is a co-producer. Alaska is from Salke’s co-lab21 and is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
Rotten Tomatoes reported a 71% approval rating with an average rating of 6.6/10, based on 14 critic reviews. The website’s critics’ consensus reads, “Alaska Daily awkwardly straddles the sensibilities of network TV and edgier streaming fare, but the core message about the importance of local journalism is fit to print.” Metacritic assigned a score of 67 out of 100 based on 15 critics, indicating “generally favorable reviews.”
