All of Us Are Dead Season 2.

Despite months of anticipation, the network has yet to confirm the official release date for All of Us Are Dead Season 2. Even though it was renewed a year ago, details about the next chapter are still under wraps. It is unfortunate, as right now it is assumed that the production stage of the series is still ongoing, so any information about the potential release date seems way too soon.

On the other hand, there have been rumors circulating on social media that the series is still filming season 2, but nothing has been officially confirmed by the network, the cast, or the crew. But on the bright side, it is speculated that the upcoming season will not be delayed further and will be released sometime later this year or even early in 2024 if the production is completed on time.

If we take the prior seasons into consideration with a bit of speculation, the most likely release window for the second season will have a premiere date that will be sometime around January 2024. Considering the pattern of the first season, it is very much possible to have a same-year gap as other shows on the streaming service, which is 12:00 a.m. (PT) or 3:00 a.m. (ET).

Likewise, we would want to emphasize that this is all guesswork at this time and will be confirmed in the coming months. In the meantime, take a look at the official renewal announcement as shared by the Netflix Geeked Twitter handle, quote, “IS LEE CHEONG-SAN ALIVE? Good thing All Of Us Are Dead is renewed for a second season so we can find out. #GeekedWeek”

All of Us Are Dead Season 2: What to expect in the second season?

The series is expected to expand on the basic premise, which is as follows: “A local high school is overrun with zombies as a result of a failed science experiment, and the trapped students struggle to survive. With no food or water and communication cut off by the government, they must use the school’s equipment to protect themselves in the midst of a battleground, or they will become infected.”

In addition to this, the season is expected to continue from the final episode of the first season which revealed The students arrive at an abandoned neighborhood after making their getaway. Some zombies are detected by Nam-ra. Later, the students make an attempt to flee, but Dae-su’s leg is hurt, so they must remain and fight the zombies.

While defending his sister, Woo-jin is bitten, which causes Nam-ra to murder him. During the escape, Nam-ra’s desire to eat her companions grows stronger, and she almost bit On-jo because of the voices in her head that are encouraging her to do so. Nam-ra abandons her pals and vanishes in the neighborhood because she is overcome with regret and wants to avoid hurting them.

The military finally saves the remaining six student survivors, Su-hyeok, On-jo, Dae-su, Hyo-ryung, Mi-jin, and Ha-ri, when they find an abandoned railway. Moreover, the government lifts martial law in Hyosan four months later, but it keeps the locals under quarantine. The six kids sneak back to the ruins of their school after leaving the camp.

They run into Nam-ra, who appears to be in good health despite still being a half-zombie. As she leaps from the rooftop, leaving the others to stare after her, Nam-ra adds that there are a few other students like her who fled from the school and that she will return. Government representatives take Byeong-chan’s son and wife’s bodies to a different place in a scene towards the middle of the credits.

Additionally, it appears like the show’s director wants to concentrate more on the zombies anyway, which is exactly what the fans expect to see in the new season!

“Many directions, settings, and scenes were intentionally produced to expand the story into an additional season, including the introduction of the new race of zombies – immune and immortal,” director Lee Jae-kyoo told The Korean Herald. Further adding, “If the first season can be seen as having presented humanity’s survival, the next season can talk about the survival of the zombies. I hope to present viewers with another season.”

The cast members who are expected to reprise their roles include Park Ji-hu as Nam On-jo, Yoon Chan-young as Lee Cheong-san, Cho Yi-hyun as Choi Nam-ra, Lomon as Lee Su-hyeok, Yoo In-soo as Yoon Gwi-nam, Lee Yoo-mi as Lee Na-yeon, Kim Byung-chul as Lee Byeong-chan, Lee Kyu-hyung as Song Jae-ik, and Jeon Bae-soo as Nam So-ju.
