And Just Like That Season 2: When will it premiere?

If you recall, the series was renewed for a second season back in March 2022. Since then, filming for the second season began on October 4, 2022, in New York City and seems to still be ongoing! No update about nearing its completion has been disclosed yet. So, this makes it obvious that the exact release date for the new season has also not been revealed. But if we have to speculate, the new season will premiere sometime in mid-to-late 2023.

This makes it clear that the show is not even close to premiering all brand-new episodes in March 2023!

Considering recent reports, we would like to highlight that the most likely timeframe can be sometime around December 2023, just like the first season. Much to the delight of fans, it has also been debated that season two could be released as early as sometime around the summer of 2023 with the same premiere time as other shows on the streaming service, which is at midnight PT/3 a.m. ET.

In order to receive updates on when the new episodes premiere, interested viewers can also enable notifications on HBO and HBO Max.

The network hasn’t released the exact synopsis of And Just Like That Season 2, so it is expected to continue from the final episode, “Seeing the Light,” from the first season, which showed Charlotte dives into planning the ultimate rite of passage for Rock, Che throws Miranda for a loop, and after a challenging year, Carrie attempts to find closure. The episode was directed by Nisha Ganatra and written by Michael Patrick King, Julie Rottenberg, and Elisa Zuritsky.

In addition to this, Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content for HBO Max, hinted at the potential plot, quoting, “We have been delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much. We are proud of the work Michael Patrick King and our wonderful writers, producers, cast, and crew have done to bring these stories to the screen. We can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store for season 2!” Making it clear that they will stay in a similar lane as they did before.

The main cast members of the series who will reprise their roles are as follows Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes, Kristin Davis as Charlotte York Goldenblatt, Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino, David Eigenberg as Steve Brady, Evan Handler as Harry Goldenblatt, Sara Ramirez as Che Diaz, and Sarita Choudhury as Seema Patel. Moreover, John Corbett as Aidan Shaw, Sam Smith, and Tony Danza are also confirmed to appear and will also play crucial characters in the second season.

The upcoming season is anticipated to have at least 10 episodes with an average runtime of 37 to 44 minutes, which are expected to drop on a weekly basis, just like the prior season. The network will also publish the official titles and synopsis when the episodes are due to air on the streaming service in the coming months. The series will air on HBO in the United States and will be available to stream in 4K resolution on HBO Max.
