Angelina Jolie has reportedly filed court papers through which she has accused her ex-husband Brad Pitt of attacking her and their children in an inebriated state during a plane ride in 2016. The said incident reportedly prompted her to file for a divorce against the actor. The countersuit from Jolie’s side comes after Pitt sued the actress in February over selling her stake in one of their French wineries claiming their agreement stating that neither would sell the same without the other’s consent.

Angelina Jolie’s claims
The actress reportedly claimed in her countersuit that there was never such an agreement between her and Brad Pitt, as per CNN. She also claimed that she sold her portion of the specific winery to have financial independence from her ex-husband and find peace and closure. Angeline Jolie also stated that it was a deeply painful and traumatic chapter in her and her children’s lives.
The physical abuse allegations
According to CNN reports, the court documents have revealed details about Angeline Jolie’s physical abuse allegations against Brad Pitt. It specifies an alleged incident that happened on a private plane on September 14, 2016, five days before the actress filed for a divorce while claiming that her ex-husband attacked her and her kids. The actress also alleges that the actor got into an argument with one of their children, who, at that time, were aged between 8 to 15 years.
Jolie also accused Pitt of verbally abusing her and claimed that he grabbed her by the head and also shook her. He then allegedly grabbed her shoulders and pushed her into the private plane’s bathroom wall. The claim further alleges that the actor choked one of their children and struck another one in the face. The document further states that the children were frightened, and most of them cried during the incident.

Following the countersuit claims made by Angelina Jolie, her ex, Brad Pitt’s spokesperson, released a statement to a publication and called the claims completely untrue. The spokesperson also stated that Angelina Jolie’s claims continue to remain new and unsubstantiated.
