Seems like boxers are Madonna’s type!
After recently making headlines about her breakup with Josh Popper, reports suggest that Madonna is now getting closer to another boxer, Richard Riakporhe.
The two reportedly met in 2023 when Riakporhe was modeling for Burberry and the dating rumors sparked when Madonna posted a picture of herself sitting in the British boxer’s lap in October 2023, writing, “I had to sit somewhere.”
Even though the netizens are super curious about their current relationship equation and are very excited to see the beginning of a new connection, according to The Sun, an insider revealed that the two are nothing more than close friends as of now, by saying that “Madonna and Richard have mutual friends; they first connected in the fashion industry. They enjoy each other’s company and get along great, but for now, they are just close friends.”
Talking about Madonna’s last relationship, she recently broke up with Popper because of her hectic tour schedule, which didn’t give her enough time to spend with him.
As per The Sun, an insider revealed, “Madonna has barely seen Josh for months because her schedule was so hectic. Things just fizzled out. There is genuinely no bad blood [between the two] — they’re still fond of each other,” further claiming, “At the moment their relationship doesn’t feel feasible, and they’ve cooled things off, but they are staying friends.” The two first started dating in 2023, after crossing paths when Josh was teaching boxing to Madonna’s son, David Banda. Even though reports suggest that the former couple has decided to remain friends post-breakup, their separation intensified the rumors of Richard and Madonna dating.

Riakporhe, who’s a 34-year-old professional boxer, recently dropped a hint about Madonna’s possible presence at his World title fight against Chris Billam-Smith at Selhurst Park Stadium. “Madonna says she’s going to come down if she’s in London, she’s going to keep me updated. She said she wants to come to the fight,” he told talkSPORT, as quoted by The Sun.
