The “7 Rings“ singer-songwriter seems to be back to make some chart-topping harmonies.
Ariana Grande’s recent social media activity has caused a major frenzy among fans, as it seems like the pop icon is ready to unleash her musical magic after taking a hiatus from releasing three albums year after year: Sweetener (2018), Thank U, Next (2019), and Positions (2020), which broke many records on the Billboard charts. Earlier this week, she took to Instagram and shared yet another muted video clip of herself singing and producing some tracks with her 380 million followers.
In the clip, Grande, 30, gives a glimpse into her creative process by sharing a few sneak peeks of herself in the recording studio. Though the behind-the-scenes footage is shot it is enough to provide an intimate look into how the magic of music-making unfolds. As the singer can also be seen working on some tracks by handing down notes. After all, Grande is also known to produce many of her songs, which is one of her numerous talents that makes her one of the most popular artists.

At last, Grande will be seen playing the role of Glinda in the film adaptation of Wicked, which is directed by Jon M. Chu from a screenplay by Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz. It is the first of a two-part film adaptation of Holzman and Schwartz’s stage musical Wicked, which is based on the 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire and characters from the 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum and its 1939 film adaptation.
The film also stars Cynthia Erivo with Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Jeff Goldblum, and Michelle Yeoh in supporting roles. Set in the Land of Oz, the film revolves around Elphaba, a green-skinned woman, and explores the path that leads her to become the Wicked Witch of the West. The principal photography of the film began last year in December 2022 in England but was paused the following summer until November 2023 due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.
Wicked: Part One is scheduled for release on November 27, 2024, while Wicked: Part Two will be released on November 26, 2025, after previously being set for a December 25, 2025 release.
