Popular Korean actor and ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo have finally confirmed his next role, which is sure to send the fans into a frenzy. For the unversed, it is supposed to be a TV series adaptation of the popular webtoon titled A Good Day to be a Dog. For the unversed, the television drama is also expected to be produced under the same title. It also means that Eun Woo will finally be dipping his toes in the fantasy romance genre. As per the latest reports, he is supposed to play the male lead in the series. However, there is no news regarding the casting of the female lead in the same to date.
Talking about A Good Day to be a Dog, it chronicles the story of a woman who turns into a dog every time she kisses a man. It is some kind of a generational curse for her entire family, and the females have carried the same burden for decades. Now, the catch here is that there is only one person who can undo her horrific curse. The person who is supposed to do the same is actually afraid of dogs because of a traumatic accident that happened earlier in his life.
Cha Eun Woo’s character
For the unversed, Cha Eun Woo is supposed to play the character of Jin Seo Won, who fears the presence of dogs around him because of a traumatic childhood incident. It was on September 5, 2022, that the TV show’s production house confirmed casting Eun Woo as the male lead in the same. Talking about the K-pop idol and actor, he himself confirmed his casting in the TV series during one of his recent solo fan meetings.
His character, Jin Seo Won, is a boy who has the tendency to hide behind steadfast and serious situations matched with sharp looks. However, he has a traumatic past in reality, and his sadness slowly comes to light as he witnesses a life-changing event making everything turn around suddenly.
The filming
The shooting for A Good Day to be a Dog is said to begin in October this year. On the other hand, ASTRO’S Cha Eun Woo is all set to appear next in Island alongside Lee Da Hee.
