Is B Positive Season 3 canceled by CBS? Continue reading to learn more.
B Positive is an American television sitcom created by Marco Pennette for Chuck Lorre Productions and Warner Bros. Television. He is also the show’s executive producer. The series was launched on CBS on November 5, 2020. In addition, when a show has been renewed before many questions arise about the potential of the series plot to offer more and better with each season.
The series should have the magic to be able to intrigue the viewers to continue watching new episodes. After the premiere of B Positive Season 2, many speculated whether it will be renewed or canceled. Unfortunately, we have some bad news for you. If you were looking forward to the next chapter of B Positive, the chance to binge-watch B Positive Season 3 was brief. As the show has been canceled by the CBS Network. The series is listed among the other TV series which are abruptly canceled by the network. Here is everything we know about the B Positive Season 3’s cancellation.
Will there be a third season of B Positive?
The CBS network canceled B Positive Season 3 on May 12, 2022, after just two seasons had aired. As a result, the show has no chance of being renewed by the network, even if it had the potential to build a fanbase eager to see more seasons of these shows in order to see the characters develop and improve the episodes with each passing week, which enticed viewers to at least tune in to watch the episodes to see how the show creator will deal with these characters. It’s a pity that the viewers who were hoping for the series to progress won’t be able to witness another episode.
Why did CBS cancel B Positive Season 3?
According to Deadline, CBS has decided not to renew Chuck Lorre’s comedy series B Positive for a third season. The decision comes after another Lorre-produced sophomore CBS comedy series, United States Of Al, was canceled recently. Both shows had been on the bubble, but given Lorre’s status as the network’s top comedy producer for the past two decades, at least one of them was expected to make the cut for next season.
Many networks opted to discontinue renewing a substantial number of sitcoms in the early months of 2022. Similarly many original CBS TV shows were canceled for a variety of reasons, and the network is no exception to follow the trend and reduce investing resources in tv series that might not have been favorable in terms of reception they initially intended to be. Unfortunately, How We Roll has also been canceled, despite the fact that the show’s narrative and character arcs had the potential to be improved.

I’m very surprised by the B Positive cancellation as I thought it would have survived after United States of Al was canceled. But nope. No word yet on The Conners. The Goldbergs was oddly renewed. No word on The Wonder Years or Home Economics.

What is the series based on?
The sitcom is based on the true life of series creator Marco Pennette, who underwent kidney transplant surgery in 2013. Drew, a therapist and newly divorced father with B-positive blood who requires a kidney donor, is the protagonist of the first season. When he is unable to find a donor within his family, he is approached by Gina, a woman from his past who offers him one of her kidneys.
After Drew’s successful transplant operation, the focus of Season 2 changes to Gina, who receives a substantial sum of money and purchases the elderly home where she works, while Drew reconsiders his life goals and sets out to rediscover himself.
What could have been the plot of B Positive Season 3?
As of June 1, 2022, B Positive Season 2 has aired all the 16 episodes of the series which concluded on March 10, 2022. The final episode of the series, Juneau, Froyo, and Mario Kart, was directed by Phill Lewis and the teleplay is written by Chuck Lorre & Jim Patterson & Warren Bell & Adam Chase. It is estimated that the episode was viewed by 4.73 million US viewers.
The official synopsis of the episode states, “Gina is torn after getting an offer to sell Valley Hills to a rival assisted living residence; Drew prepares to leave on his big trip to Alaska”. If the third season of the series was renewed the viewers would have gotten a chance to see that the story would have been picked up from this very moment and expanded upon to explore the character dynamics and subplots which could have been valuable for the viewers to tune into watching the series for a long run.

*Spoilers Ahead*
In the finale episode of Season 2, the viewers got to see that when Golden Horizons offers to buy Valley Hills for much more than she paid for it, Gina is torn. Golden Horizons will do everything it can to poach additional Valley Hills residents if she refuses, but the core group has stated that they would stand by Gina no matter what.
Drew, on the other hand, has decided to end his relationship with Gina and is making plans to travel to Alaska. Gina realizes she loves Drew after a talk with Norma. She dashes out to the parking lot to inform him, but the camper van has vanished.
We can’t predict what key details or surprises would have been revealed in subsequent seasons, or how the show would have ended because the episode ended on a potential cliffhanger which should have been explored much better if the series was not canceled. So, fans will not be able to predict how these characters would have evolved.
