Bennifer’s alleged separation has got everyone wrapped around their fingers!
Ever since the bombshell revelation from various close sources dropped, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have tried their best to shut down the rumors, be it by making appearances together, giving answers to reporters, or name-dropping one another in interviews. But nothing seems to shut down the gossip, as many new reports suggest otherwise.
This time around, the couple’s missing wedding rings have gotten all the attention, further fueling unconfirmed divorce theories.
On Thursday, when Affleck, 51, was photographed sans his wedding ring on the set of his upcoming film, “The Accountant 2,” gave fans even more reasons to chatter about their reported split.
The Hollywood rumor mill continued when Lopez, 54, was recently seen attending the Los Angeles premiere of “Atlas” without her husband by her side.
However, the “Jenny from the Block” singer was spotted wearing her band on her left ring finger. Sadly, her glamorous red carpet appearance with her co-stars Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown before the film premiered on Netflix was overshadowed when a source close to Page Six exclusively said that Affleck has “come to his senses” about the pair’s ill-fated marriage.
“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” the insider shared. Further adding, “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”
In addition to this, signs of trouble in paradise were once again questioned during a recent press conference, when the “Waiting for Tonight” singer was directly asked about the persistent divorce rumors surrounding her and husband. Lopez married the “Gone Girl” actor on July 16, 2022, in Las Vegas after rekindling their relationship 20 years after they were originally engaged.
When a reporter inquired about the rumored marital troubles, the “Marry Me” star initially laughed off the question. However, she quickly adopted a more serious tone, leaned in, and much to everyone’s surprise replied, “You know better than that.” As per E! News, her “Atlas” co-star, Simu Liu, also jumped to her defense, saying, “C’mon, don’t come in here with that.”
Furthermore, talking about the alleged relationship struggles, a source told ET, “Jen and Ben’s relationship is not over yet, but they have been staying in separate homes and the tension has been high. They are taking a second to figure out what each of them is going through and wants. Both of them have been very down.”
Meanwhile, Page Six has also learned that Affleck, 51, has been quietly house-hunting around the LA area after reports of the couple living in separate houses broke on the internet. “The Way Back” actor is reportedly staying at a home in the Brentwood neighborhood of LA, which is less than 30 minutes from his and Lopez’s $60 million Beverly Hills mansion.
Most recently, a report by the Daily Mai claimed that Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, is offering support to Lopez and hoping her relationship gets better. “JLo has been confiding in Jen because she knows that she is one of the only people in the world who would understand what she is going through,” a source cited by the entertainment portal revealed to the outlet.
