This time around, just in time for the merry season, the beloved “Crazy in Love” singer-songwriter has taken her creativity to new heights as she surprised her fans, also known as BeyHive, by unveiling her highly anticipated ‘Renaissance‘ concert trailer during NBC’s telecast of the Macy’s 97th Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, also featuring Grammy Award-winner Cher performing her new holiday single, “DJ Play a Christmas Song,” at the end of the broadcast.
The world watched the exclusive glimpse of the concert film in awe as Beyoncé showcased her artistic vision and talent, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating what promises to be an unforgettable musical experience. With a career spanning decades, Beyoncé has consistently pushed boundaries, and the film will certainly capture that essence as it is an amalgamation of the creation of Renaissance (2022), Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, which includes recorded footage from the Renaissance World Tour and its development.
“Hey, it’s Beyoncé wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving. I’m so honored to share with you the first look at the Renaissance film trailer,” said Beyoncé in the video (below). The teaser trailer shows the singer’s daughter Rumi handling the camera filming her mother. “Rumi, can I teach you a trick? You have to turn it (the camera) to the side. Yeah, there we go,” Beyoncé says. The clip included some of the first footage from the film, along with a voiceover by Beyoncé, saying, “We are creating our own world. This is my reward, nobody can take that away from me.”

As soon as the message went live, it was published on Beyoncé’s Instagram, where her fans stormed the comment section with many praises, with one fan commenting, “humble Queen! “Hey, it’s Beyoncé” Like you aren’t the world’s biggest star! 😮💨🐝” The second one stated, “I have nothing to prove to anyone at this point” 👑 QUEEN!!!” The third one stated, “‘Hey is Beyonce….’ I love BEYONCE introducing herself as If she wasn’t a Queen known in the whole galaxy.” A fourth one stated, “This announcement on thanksgiving is the closest thing we ever getting to her thanksgiving specials again.”
At last, the documentary concert film is being distributed by AMC Theatres, and it is scheduled to premiere next month on Friday, December 1, 2023. The release date was noted for falling on World AIDS Day, as the corresponding album is dedicated to Beyoncé’s “Uncle” Johnny, who introduced her to black dance music and ball culture and died during the AIDS epidemic. On the other hand, the film will be screened for at least four weekends. As, it will be available in IMAX and Dolby Cinema, as well as other branded premium large-format screens.
That’s not it! The film is also set to have its US premiere in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 25, 2023, and a world premiere in London on Thursday, November 30, 2023.
