Big Sky Season 3 Release Date

The network has officially confirmed that the series will return this year by disclosing that Big Sky Season 3 will be premiering new episodes on September 21, 2022. As originally aired on Thursdays after the long-running drama series Grey’s Anatomy, the series will now show on Wednesdays at 10/9c time slot.

Big Sky Season 3 Plot

In Season 3, titled Deadly Trails, private detective Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury), undersheriff Jenny Hoyt (Winnick), and newly appointed sheriff Beau Arlen (Jensen Ackles) use their unrivaled investigative abilities to keep order in Helena, Montana. However, when a local wilderness excursion guided by charming outfitter Sunny Barnes (Reba McEntire) goes astray, the trio is confronted with their most challenging mystery yet, one in which no camper can be trusted, and danger lurks behind every jagged rock and twisted tree.

The finale episode, “Catch a Few Fish,” released on May 19, 2022, was viewed by 2.41 million US viewers. The episode is directed by Jeff T. Thomas and written by Elwood Reid. The episode features guest star Jensen Ackles – In a struggle between head and heart, final resolutions are made as Jenny works to find Travis before he reaches a dangerous point of no return. Meanwhile, Ren and Jag find a new familial bond and decide together how to handle their father now that he’s crossed a serious line.

After receiving a startling surprise from Scarlett, Cassie changes the course of her quest for justice forever. Later, with Tubb out of commission for the time being, a new sheriff comes to town; and after getting fully acquainted with Cassie and Jenny, it seems like he may just stick around for a while on the “Big Sky” season two finale.
