BIGBANG’s single Still Life creates new record at Billboard charts

BIGBANG recently made a massive comeback with their latest single titled Still Life. Now, the latest that we know is that it has debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard World Digital Song Chart. The song has become the band’s first-ever track to enter the main Digital Song Sales Chart of Billboard. It makes them the fourth K-pop group after BTS, TWICE, and BLACKPINK to reach the top 25 list in the chart.

BIGBANG’s Still Life has also ranked 9th on the Billboard Global 200 chart, including the US. It proves once again that the K-pop single has gained widespread popularity in the mainstream pop market. These charts depend on music sales and streaming collected from more than 200 regions around the world.

Now, Still Life has made its way into one of the global main charts during a time when the US billboard has created a new standard to reflect the popular music market trend. Billboard has made yet another announcement on the single that is sure to leave the fans elated. Still Life is said to have recorded 34 million streams and 29,700 downloads during the counting period.

What went into Still Life?

Still Life is basically an expression of the K-pop band’s concerns and thoughts about their past, present, and future. The melodious song is filled with beautiful tunes, poetic lyrics, and a sincere narrative that makes the music lovers look back into the past. It creates a kind of sympathy among the fans for all the members of BIGBANG.

BIGBANG’s Still Life was released on April 5, 2022. On the very first day itself, the song topped the worldwide chart by capturing first place on iTunes across 33 regions. It also made a record on the real-time charts of Line Music and QQ music which are the largest music sites in Japan and China. The best part about Still Life is that it was released without any marketing or promotion.


The South Korean boyband BIGBANG was formed by YG entertainment and includes four members – T.O.P, G-Dragon, Daesung, and Taeyang. But did you know that originally BIGBANG was a five-piece band? One of their members, Seungri retired from the entertainment industry back in 2019. The BIGBANG members are also dubbed the kings of K-pop. They are among those bands who helped spread the Korean wave across the world, like BTS, TWICE, BLACKPINK, etc.
