Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Espresso’  is consecutively topping the midweek Billboard charts for what might possibly be the 4th time in a row. But much to our surprise, a contender is tailing behind to capture this position in the form of Billie Eilish’s ‘Lunch.’

However, streaming data and reports collected by Billboard still claim ‘Espresso’ as no.1. Eilish’s new marvel ‘Lunch’ is lying at No.2 on the midweek charts and is only 1,500 chart units away from toppling ‘Espresso’ for the first rank. Whether this prophecy will come true only depends on viewership data that is continuously subject to alteration.

Eilish’s third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft features this chart-topper and is surpassing the top 5 on the charts at the moment, giving her the rank of the third consecutive No.1 on the UK album topper. Eilish has had great luck with all of her albums in conjunction with being chart toppers.

Her debut studio album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? secured its position in No.1 rank in 2019 and maintained that position for three weeks straight. Additionally, her second studio album Happier Than Ever also topped the charts and remained at the top for a week. We are yet to see if her third studio album can break her past records.

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” ranks as holding no.3, with the possibility of ranking No.3 after ‘Espresso’ and ‘Lunch,’ and is one of the three country songs to hold the midweek position in the Billboard top 10, with Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help” and Dasha’s “Austin” (holding at No. 9 via Warner Records).

All the respective ranks on the Billboard Official U.K. Singles Chart will be revealed on Friday, May 24, 2024.
