The BLACKPINK members have grabbed the headlines once again, and this time for an entirely different reason. It was on July 12, 2022, that the group’s official account dropped a black and pink poster while announcing its collaboration with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile for an upcoming in-game concert. The concert is titled ‘THE VIRTUAL’ and is going to happen on July 22-23, 2022, and July 29-30, 2022, in North and South America. The same concert will take place on July 23-24, 2022, and July 30-31, 2022, for the rest of the world. This also marks PUBG mobile’s first-ever in-game concert featuring BLACKPINK.

Agency’s confirmation
YG Entertainment, the agency associated with BLACKPINK, has also shared details of the upcoming concert with various South Korean media outlets with a statement that reads, “Along with the members’ 3D avatars, three-dimensional sounds and performances will come to life through the high-level technology of the game production company, PUBGM.”
Apart from this, the agency has shared another vital information related to BLACKPINK that will surely send the fans into a frenzy. So, the group is all set to unveil a special track at THE VIRTUAL, which will be providing a whole new virtual experience to everyone. Here is what YG entertainment has to say, “In particular, the performances will be completed with motion capture, adding a lifelike vibe similar to the real deal.”
Talking about THE VIRTUAL, it marks BLACKPINK’s second collaboration with PUBG mobiles. Earlier, the songs from THE ALBUM by the girl group were used as the background lobby music for PUBG.
BLACKPINK’s upcoming ventures
Earlier on July 6, 2022, YG Entertainment also announced that BLACKPINK is all set to release new music in August this year. Here is what the agency said, “We have prepared a lot of BLACKPINK-esque music that has been prepared with great effort over a long time. By the end of this, alongside their comeback, BLACKPINK will embark on the largest-ever world tour for a K-Pop girl group, to expand their communication and reach with fans around the world. We will continue large-scale projects for the group as well.”
