BLACKPINK and TWICE create new records on Billboard charts

It seems like K-pop has finally taken over the Billboard charts! According to the latest charts, the BLACKPINK members have recently created history with their latest track, Pink Venom. The said track has acquired the 36th position on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart. It has now become the first Korean language song by a K-pop girl group to have entered the chart. The pre-release track from BORN PINK is also BLACKPINK’s second entry, following their earlier track Ice Cream with Selena Gomez.

Pink Venom’s records

Talking about BLACKPINK’s Pink Venom, it has also continued to stay on the Hot 100 chart. However, it has dropped from the 22nd position to the 53rd position in its second week on the chart. On the other hand, the group’s much-talked-about album BORN PINK is all set to get released on September 16, 2022. Its title track, Shut Down, is also going to be released on the very same day.

TWICE’s records

Talking about another K-pop girl group, TWICE, it has also gone on a record-breaking spree with BETWEEN 1&2, which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard top 200 albums chart. The group continues to shine by becoming the first-ever female K-pop artist to have two albums in the top 3 positions of the chart. The girl group has also created yet another record by landing in the number 1 position on the Artist 100 chart. It makes them the second female K-pop group in history to have made such a record.

BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK

As of now, the BLINKs are eagerly waiting for the release of BLACKPINK’s upcoming album BORN PINK. Recently, the group revealed the tracklist for their much-awaited album release, BORN PINK. So, the album includes a total number of eight tracks that include Shut Down, Pink Venom, Yeah Yeah Yeah, Typa Girl, The Happiest Girl, Hard to Love, Ready for Love, and Tally.

Earlier, YG Entertainment had also announced the title song for BLACKPINK’s album BORN PINK. So, their title song is Shut Down, and an official teaser poster was also released showcasing a silver shutter appearing behind the members of the group. The same coincides with ‘shut down’, which means to close, thereby arousing the fans’ curiosity.
