BLACKPINK member Jennie is all set for a grand collaboration with Brockhampton member Matt Champion. Yes, that’s right. You may remember earlier how the two music stars took to their Instagram stories to tease their upcoming song. Now, the latest reports state that the same song will be featured on Champion’s new album.

The rumored track is said to be titled Slow Motion and is supposed to be a drum ‘n’ bass tune. The new melody will be entirely different from Matt’s previously released track, Slug, as per the latest RCA Records’ exclusive press release.

Meanwhile, check out Jennie’s earlier IG story about this particular collaboration below:

Did you hear the demo track released by the two singers? If not, here are some lines – “You know what you mean to me / ‘cause I’m leaning on my way / making my heart cry / nothing is love.”

Jennie’s exciting plans

The latest music update about Jennie comes on the heels of the announcement that her solo debut music video has successfully crossed the one billion views mark on YouTube. In terms of her connection with the American rapper, they first met at Coachella last year, a significant event where Blackpink headlined the musical festival.

The prominent BLACKPINK member made a significant move by launching her own music label in December 2023, opting not to renew her individual contract with YG Entertainment. Following her lead, the rest of her bandmates also decided to explore independent paths. Just a day after the tease about a potential music collaboration, Jennie Kim was spotted in Paris on March 4.

Anticipated to attend the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week 2024, her strong connection with the luxury fashion brand, marked by her global ambassador role since 2021, is evident. Notably, she made a memorable Met Gala debut in 2023, donning a subtle vintage Chanel look, showcasing her deep affinity for the renowned fashion house.
