BLACKPINK’s Jisoo all set for solo debut with the beginning of shoot

YG Entertainment has recently revealed that BLACKPINK’s oldest member Jisoo has officially begun the shooting for the music video that marks her solo debut. For the unversed, she is the last member of the group to have her solo music release. Earlier, her fellow members Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa’s already made their solo ventures in 2018, March 2021 and September 2021 respectively.

Jisoo’s solo album is reportedly in the recording phase. Her and BLACKPINK’s agency YG Entertainment updated that she has wrapped up the photo shoot for the same album and is likely to announce the album title soon.

The agency earlier said, ““BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is currently working hard on recording her solo album. While carrying out a busy world tour schedule since last year, she finished the album jacket photo shoot and worked on music production whenever she got the time in order to keep the promise with fans. She will greet (fans) soon with good news.”

On February 21, 2023, YG Entertainment shared a statement that raised anticipation for BLACKPINK member Jisoo solo debut. For the unversed, it is said to have surpassed the highest production cost for any music video. Moreover, here is what the agency said, “The music video for Jisoo’s solo track is being filmed entirely overseas in strict secrecy. It is worth anticipating as the highest production cost of all BLACKPINK videos until now was invested in it.”
