BLACKPINK member Jisoo is currently on cloud nine as she has recently added another feather to her hat. It so happened that the diva has just bagged her first Daesang for 2023, and the BLINKs can’t keep calm! For the unversed, she bagged this particular award at the Brand of the Year Awards 2023.
The first Daesang for 2023
As many of the BLINKs expected, Jisoo went on to win the ‘Female Solo Singer of the Year’ award at the same event. It makes her the second member of BLACKPINK, after Jennie, to have bagged a Daesang. What adds to this excitement is that Jisoo won this particular award just five months after having made her solo debut with the album titled ME. For those who are less aware of what a Daesang is, it means ‘grand prize’ in South Korea and is considered one of the greatest achievements of any artist or group.

Jisoo’s Current Activities
Talking about BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, she is busy with her solo as well as group activities this year. For the unversed, the diva made her solo debut with the very first album, ME. The album features her lead single, Flower, and another B-side track titled All Eyes on Me. Apart from that, Jisoo has also been touring the world along with the rest of the BLACKPINK members. For the unversed, the group has already wowed the BLINKs with their performances in the US, Europe, and Asia. Now, they will be concluding this long tour in Seoul on September 16 and 17, 2023. If that is not enough, Jisoo will also be returning to the world of acting as she has been cast as the female lead in Influenza alongside Park Jeong-min. For the unversed, this particular Korean drama is about a zombie outbreak.
