Jisoo, a member of the popular K-pop group BLACKPINK, has contracted COVID-19. On June 1, their agency, YG Entertainment, announced through the fan community Weverse that Jisoo had tested positive for the virus. This comes after experiencing mild cold symptoms on May 30. Although an initial self-test showed a negative result, subsequent reports suggested otherwise.
Despite her strong desire to perform and fulfill her promise to dedicated fans, Jisoo ultimately made the difficult decision not to participate in the upcoming performance. This decision was made in consideration of everyone’s safety, including the health of her fellow artists.
