BLACKPINK’s Jisoo tests positive for COVID-19

Jisoo, a member of the popular K-pop group BLACKPINK, has contracted COVID-19. On June 1, their agency, YG Entertainment, announced through the fan community Weverse that Jisoo had tested positive for the virus. This comes after experiencing mild cold symptoms on May 30. Although an initial self-test showed a negative result, subsequent reports suggested otherwise.

Despite her strong desire to perform and fulfill her promise to dedicated fans, Jisoo ultimately made the difficult decision not to participate in the upcoming performance. This decision was made in consideration of everyone’s safety, including the health of her fellow artists.

BLACKPINK’s YouTube Achievements Continue to Soar

BLACKPINK’s music video for their hit song ‘Kill This Love’ has surpassed a monumental milestone on YouTube. The video has now accumulated over 1.8 billion views, marking this achievement approximately four years and one month after its release. BLACKPINK has become the first K-pop artist to have two music videos with more than 1.8 billion views, as their previous smash hit, ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU,’ is also on track to reach 2.1 billion views. The continuous support and love from fans worldwide have contributed to these remarkable achievements, solidifying BLACKPINK’s position as one of the most successful K-pop groups in history.
