On December 7, 2022, YG Entertainment, the agency associated with BLACKPINK, announced four new dates for the K-pop girl group’s ongoing BORN PINK World Tour. For the unversed, the BLACKPINK members have a huge fandom in Japan, and there is no denying that the BLINKs in the country cannot contain their excitement. Moreover, BORN PINK is the K-pop group’s first-ever performance in Japan after their IN YOUR AREA gig that happened way back in 2020.

From what the latest reports have learned from YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK plans to achieve the accomplishment of going on the largest world tour in history. From what we have learned, the PINK VENOM group’s tickets have sold out instantly, and fans around the world are eagerly waiting for the upcoming tour dates.
The new dates
The BLACKPINK members have a total number of four tour dates scheduled for the two Japanese cities – Tokyo and Osaka. The first two tour dates happen to be April 8 and 9, 2022, and the venue is Tokyo Dome in Tokyo. On the other hand, the second two tour dates happen to be on June 3 and 4, 2022, to be held in the Kyocera Dome of Osaka.

On December 5, 2022, TIME Magazine, which is a renowned publication, unveiled its list of the year 2022’s most influential people in each particular field. Among all of them, BLACKPINK became the first-ever girl group in the world to be named the Entertainer of the Year.
The magazine has further remarked on BLACKPINK’s current position and reported said, “BLACKPINK is this generation’s icon that leads the trend, and the largest female band in the world.” The same article also applauds the K-pop group BLACKPINK’s success as the one that performed the best on the latest global music charts this year.
